How to unlock the Deep Pockets achievement in Army of TWO The Devils Cartel - Definitive Guide
I think I have found out the best way to grind money, if you don´t have the Outside Contact - Overkillers like me.
Go to Outside contact -> Level 16 "Suicde Run". Difficulty Insane for max Difficulty Money Bonus.
Trivia: All you have to do in this short section is to drive a Car to a Destination, so it isn´t possible to die.
- Choose to drive - the AI shoots. You should do this because the AI will do higher combos on the MG.
- Drive as fast as possible. Avoid obstacles like the MMG cars and push the whole time the RT (driving) button down.
- If you have finished the level don´t use "skip" (the back button) in the menu/level stats. Choose-> "next" (A button) until you are on page 4 -> then quit (to main menu). Because otherwise the game will force you to do level 17. So you have 2 loading screens instead one loading screen. To do Level 16 again you will have to go to the main menu anyway.
What you have to keep in mind:
You will get the most money in this section if you score high combos. So overdrive as many enemies as possible. In the last turn before you drive downhill it is possible to overdrive 5-6 enemies, if you hit all of them and on the downhill section another 6-8 you should get a very high bonus. Aim for the gate directly and not for the MMG in the end because sometimes 2 enemies run 1 secound before the cutscene starts onwards you -> 2 more kills for your last combo.
Here are my datas: In my first trys I was poor and could only achieve 3200$ with a time of 2:02. After a few tries and knowing the "course" I knew where I could do combos. So I have managed it to get constant 4200-5200$ in 1:32-1:40 minutes. Because of the shortness and high reward, this section has the highest effiency in the whole game for farming gold.
I know this sounds (and is) boring. But even if you do this for only one hour you should earn around 100.000$ (loading times eat some time too)
Too compare: I have played the whole game through on Normal and Insane and had only earned for 2 complete playthroughs around 500.000-550.000$..

You may think that playing on insane automatically means better points, but in general you'd be incorrect -- it's worth noting that almost all of the points in this game are in Overkill. After a playthrough on hard and another on insane, I'm smashing all of my "best earnings" statistics on easy by triggering overcharge in every large scale fight where I have it available. All of my careful headshotting on insane is worth peanuts compared to the 10-25k I'm pulling down per mission on easy by just tanking everything in Overkill.

Dragoner is correct in some way. On Insane mode you get up to 1300$ in difficulty money alone. :)

I wrote this solution as a checklist for keeping up with all of the items that you will need for this achievement. I have played through the game 2X (on casual, then Insane) to get a close estimate for when each item unlocks and for what price.
Some quick notes:
1) There are a few items like the AK-47 "Day of the Dead" gun not needed for the achievement. The total costs do not include the prices of these extra items.
2) A few items in the signature masks and tattoo categories are not available at the start of the game and unlock every few rank ups on the way to rank 25.
3) After I reached rank 25 and completed the game on insane, I still had a couple of empty spaces in the tattoo and outfits categories. I am not sure if these unlock with a specific edition of the game or through DLC.
4) Below is the full list of all items (that I could identify with my "Overkill" edition of the game) including the price and requirements for unlocking them:

You say it should help with the "Look at you!" and the "Look mom, I made it!" achievements, but I think you mean the "Deep pockets" instead of the "Look mom, I made it!" achievement because the one you listed is about beating the game on Insane instead of buying all items.

@MatchedCloud079, thank you for your comment, you are absolutely right. I was incorrect and will update the solution to list the correct achievements. Thanks!

NOTE: The Overkill Contracts GD Great Healer talked about playing are part of the Overkill Edition DLC with new copies of the game. People renting the game or buying used will not have these missions to play. This guide is for them. The contracts do seem like a better way to grind money for those that have access to them.
GD Great Healer has a good guide for everything you need for the achievement and needs a thumbs up for his guide! I am posting to help with the money grind which is needed to buy everything. I beat the game twice and still needed around $200,00. I did buy quite a few upgrades I didn't need, but there will still be a grind in the end. This method works best with 2 human players. You can get about $12-15,000 in one run and it only takes a few minutes.
Load up the mission "Last Resort" and checkpoint "17. Holiday Retreat."
Play normally until you breach the big room. Once, in there, you should have a full overkill meter. You and your partner need to go into Double Overkill (this seems to help with the earnings quite a bit).
The first enemies spawn in this order.
-Top right hallway. 2 enemies.
-Bottom right Hallway. 4 enemies
-Front right bottom Hallway (under the AI squad up top). 3 enemies.
- Top right hallway. 2 enemies.
Continue through the level and try to fill your overkill meter before you are told to go to the elevator. If done right, you can go into Double Overkill again in the last hallway.
When you finish the chapter, quit to the menu, set up another game, and load the chapter back up. This is the fastest way to make money that I have found. Any feedback is welcome!

FYI you can use contract mode over XBL as long as the HOST has it...both players dont have to have new copies.

This is indeed the fastest way. Thanks!!

I have created a spreadsheet that goes into a little more detail on the items you must buy for this achievement. You can make a copy and zero out the items as you purchase them to keep track:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1WEEOmz_VaHn0_iGgGkFz...
The short description of this achievement:
You need $678,000 to buy everything. A single playthrough for a conservative player (headshots, lots of cover, careful flanking, etc.) will yield about $250,000 regardless of difficulty. I had racked up just a tiny bit over $500,000 after one hard playthrough and one insane playthrough, which left me with a deficit of $178,000 to grind out somehow.
Once you have nothing else left to do besides cash grinding for this achievement (you will inevitably arrive in this situation) is to choose the mission Rally Point, checkpoint Politics in Action, then use overkill to kill as many enemies as possible. Don't forget to turn off overkill if you run out of targets, since you can obviously charge a half-used overkill faster than a fully depleted one to use it again in the same mission. You must finish the mission to earn the cash and cannot simply quit before you get a scoreboard.
The long version of the solution if you're interested in the details:

FOR THOSE WITHOUT THE OVERKILL EDITION
As has been said in other guides you need a total of $678,000 to buy all the required items.
After a lot of experimenting the fastest (and least tedious) way I found to get cash was:
Assault - 43. Fish In A Barrel on Insane.
Take along the M1 with explosive rounds. Shoot all the enemies on the cliffs and then after you kill the brutes when the chopper comes choose "Provide Air Support".
By now you should have (or be close) your overkill. When you do, use double overkill (+) and kill as many as you can with the turret. When/if you get it again, repeat.
I personally never got less than $16,500 and most at $18,603. Quickest time was 5.07.
Happy hunting folks

**For those with the Overkillers contracts only**
I am not sure if this trick/glitch will work for everyone with the Overkillers DLC, but I've been getting loads of cash using it.
Load up Outside Contact Overkillers Contract and progress until you reach the final area with the Brute. Once you kill the Brute, the circle around the truck lights up and you can move over there to end the mission. Instead, stay at the entrance to this last area and enemies will spawn almost endlessly, giving you plenty of targets to continuously mow down. My longest run doing this was 22 minutes, at which point the enemies suddenly stopped spawning. In that 22 minutes, I earned a staggering $144,000.
Even without this spawn-fest, you can easily earn $14,000-$16,000 in 3-5 minutes playing this Overkillers contract.
***Update***
Found this video on YouTube of EdragonXX doing exactly what I'm describing. All credit for the video goes to EdragonXX (

I think that Dragoner28 had better idea but I'd like to share my solution.
So you have to load chapter "Stronghold Assault" in mission "Outside Contact". I'd recommend to play on medium because it's easy and fast. In this chapter you have to shoot down a lot of enemies so you can get other shooting achievements. I completed chapter in about 15 minutes and earned about 15.600 - 17.500 $.
My way to grind money is slower than Dragoner28's but is less boring and you can obtain rest achievements with killing enemies in various ways.
I put my solution on last buying achievement because you can use this method to earn "Armed to the Teeth" and "Look at you" achievements.

My grind was "Outside Contact" starting at Stronghold Stronghold Assault, Suicide run (the car one people have been mentioning,) and then I just play the following Resort chapter since its only two parts. It at least keeps the grind interesting. I found Stronghold assault netted me between 12-15K on medium difficulty. I used the overdrives separately. The suicide run barely gave me 2-3k if that. And resort in total would be 13-16 and fairly quick. It didn't take much time. Just enjoy yourself!
*Be careful what you spend your money on!*
There is an issue I'd like to highlight to supplement the great guides already available - weapon mods, and weapon skins (the only 2 things NOT needed for this achievement). With this being my last achievement in The Devil's Cartel, I discovered that I had made a huge mistake...I wasted a lot of money on weapon mods and skins for various guns, and now I was going to have to spend more time grinding missions for money than was necessary. To give you an idea, its been noted that the grand total needed to buy everything is $678,000. My total amount earned after unlocking this achievement was around $776,000! With that in mind, I created a money spending guide for guns with the following guidelines:
1. Experiment with different guns in different classes early on. Find a combo that fits your playstyle. During missions, use Overkill (and get as many combos as you can while its active) as much as possible, as its the fastest way to accumulate money (credit to Mobius Evalon).
2. As you earn money and level up, continue to experiment with different guns. Hold off on weapon mods for a bit. Prioritize your money on guns over tattoos, masks, and outfits until you find your ideal primary and secondary weapons.
Remember, you can press at the weapon menu to fire all unlocked guns at the shooting range, even if you haven't bought them yet. Stay away from weapon skins.
3. Don't worry about buying any new sidearms until you unlock the Falcon .50. All of the guns above it are just too weak to matter.
Using a handgun is only required for a certain story mission, and if you pick up a riot shield. Any other time, you should be using your primary or secondary guns.
4. When you find two guns that you like and allow you to excel in any situation, start buying mods and upgrading one or both of them as you complete missions (make sure they are in 2 different classes or you will burn through ammo quickly).
The main thing to keep in mind is to not waste money on mods or skins for guns that you won't use consistently. When buying upgrades, try to only buy the best attachment for your needs in each category and use common sense (no you don't need a laser sight on both the under mount and side mount unless your plan is to cause minor [though irreparable!] retinal damage to the cartel). Now the problem here is that some guns are locked, and their stats hidden until you reach a certain level. Since there's no way for you to know if you'll like a locked gun, you have a few options:
*Don't buy mods until you level up enough to see all weapons in the 2 classes that you are using (then you can buy mods for your favorite gun in each)
*Find a gun you like and only buy 1 or 2 attachments for it to boost its stats. Then when you level up enough you will unlock all weapons in its class and can compare them. If you choose this method, ONLY DO THIS ONCE in each of the 2 classes you are using (if you do this for multiple guns, you are only adding to the grind time).
*Only upgrade an excellent, all-purpose primary weapon. If you do go this route, I would recommend the FX-05 assault rifle, which is the best all-around gun in the game in my opinion (and just as effective on Insane). This option would also give you the freedom to use a variety of secondary weapons (on your first playthrough).
5. Complete the game, and then play through again on Insane using one of your upgraded guns, and the AMR-50 (see below). Don't spend any more money on weapon skins or weapon mods (excluding your chosen primary and the AMR-50). Grind missions on Easy to accumulate enough cash to buy the rest of the remaining guns, masks, tattoos, and tactical gear.
When you're playing on Insane after you're initial playthrough, you should use the AMR-50 sniper rifle upgraded at minimum with explosive rounds as one of your weapons, as it will kill everything with ease (credit and thanks to CounterInsurgnt for that). Please see other solutions for details on the best mission(s) to grind (I used Mobius Evalon's suggestion of Rally Point Chapter 7, Politics in Action).
In summary, you want to find your favorite 2 or 3 guns (including the AMR-50) and only buy weapon mods for those guns. I would just ignore weapon skins altogether (though admittedly buying a couple cheap ones won't hurt you too badly). Good luck, and if you spend your money wisely you won't have to waste extra time grinding missions like I did.

Fastest (I guess?) and most entertaining (without a doubt) way to grind money: 11.500$ - 14.000$ in about 4 minutes in chapter 23 - Into The Light (medium difficulty).
The idea is to get your and the AI's Overkill up to the max until you reach the last room of the level. Melee-killing makes this easier because of the bonuses. Getting downed in the process is actually a good thing since getting kills while downed provides good bonuses, filling your Overkill faster (dying is nearly impossible).
When your Overkill is about 30-40% after leaving the first room you are already well on track and it's pretty much guaranteed that your Overkill is full by the the time you need it.
When breaching the second room (try to go for flawless) there is a a little side room on the left a little further in. From here you can perfectly grenade-flank the enemies in the room, saving you time and giving you bonuses.
The next room is also a breach where you find a shield. Don't use it.
After this we are in front of the last room and your Overkill is supposed to be full.
Now: Enter the room, kill the first guy in front of you and run through the whole room until you stand in the middle of the enemies. Activate both Overkills and kill everyone who is directly around you. After that immediately turn to right wall (from where you entered). The door there opens so kill everyone who is coming out, then immediately make a 180-turn to the left wall where another door is opening. Kill the goons and make an immediate 90-degree-turn to your right (this is door you run towards in the beginning) and kill everyone coming out there.
Once you get the feel for it you will be able to clear the room entirely during the Overkill-phase. This is also a great way to grind "Double Trouble"! (200 targets killed in double Overkill)

If you have the Overkill Edition of the game load up the contract under the Outside Contact mission and when you get to the brute just kill him and no one else. After the brute is dead run down the hill and position yourself to the left of the plane that is in front of the truck for the end of the mission. Turn around and you will see another plane in front of you where enemies like to run into and hide. You will see a giant yellow crane over top of this plane if you are in the right place. Now if you look just to the right of the plane you will see enemies spawn in right there. Just keep killing these few enemies as they spawn in and ignore all the enemies out in front of the plane. These enemies will spawn infinitely until the horrible AI finally kills most of the other enemies in the area which takes forever. Every time I did this I made between 120k and 135k with a 10-15 minute completion time.
