This game's servers have been closed. This achievement is no longer obtainable. Below is my old solution:
You do not need to win the versus ranked match. Simply make sure that the match is, indeed, ranked, and finish the game. You do not have to accomplish any of the objectives or anything, just get in the game and wait until it completes. There will be some human players and some robot players. You can work on the other multiplayer achievements as the same time. The community isn't alive, but it isn't dead, so as long as you play at relatively "high traffic" times, you should be able to find a game. I found one on February 4th 2010 just fine, given that it's relatively removed from then, but the game had been out a relatively long time at that point, so it shows there are still some dedicated gamers.
Plus you can usually find people boosting the million dollars achievement.

Just as the description says, simply complete a versus ranked match. The shortest duration is 10 minutes, and you need 4 players minimum in order to play a ranked game.
