How to unlock the Elite PMC achievement in Army of Two - Definitive Guide
================================
This achievement is the most difficult single player achievement. You must finish all 6 original missions (the free DLC missions 7 and 8 have their own achievements). When you first play Professional Mode is locked and can only be unlocked by finishing the Recruit or Contractor difficulty. You can finish each mission out of order and still unlock the achievement.
You have to remember in Professional mode your enemies will hit harder, take more damage before they go down and your partner will have less time to revive you.
I HIGHLY recommend playing with a second person since it makes it MUCH easier however this achievement is still possible playing with a AI partner. I know many people who got it with a AI partner but at times it can be frustrating.
---------------------------------------------
The two hardest missions in the game are China and Miami:
- China Mission Help #1: While driving the hover craft, ride like hell, you will want to get past this area as fast as possible, try to avoid the RPGs.
- China Mission Help #2: After you ride the hover craft to the large gates, the have a chance to buy weapons, buy a RPG to take out the Chinook helicopter that will come up soon after. IT should only take 2 RPGs.
- China Mission Help #3: While in this area (trying to get the hover craft through the gates) you will encounter several enemies and a heavy. Your going to have to take your time (don't try to "run" to the next check point). Try to pick off the smaller enemies and use your partner to attack the heavies while you take them out in the back. The best place to pick off enemies is the small tower with the fuel tank.
- China Mission Help #4: The hardest part for me was after the hover craft and the first (and only) back-to-back. If your like me you WILL NOT be able to take out all the enemies before your back-to-back breaks. Once it breaks (it took me several tries, around 10) run to take cover around the hills. Your going to have to be semi-aggressive and lucky. Once you can move inside the building.
- China Mission Help #5: Once inside the building I would suggest gunning your way to the back. I also had to try this one multiple times but it seemed to work much better for me when taking cover in the back. So work your way to the back of the room and clear as much enemies out as you can.
- Miami Mission Help #1: Once you move up stairs you will come to very large terminal with a massive amount of enemies and two heavies. The enemies will keep on coming into the room via the windows. It is possible to take them all out but it is very hard with a AI partner so I suggest the gun and run method for this area. Clear a path and then run to the next area (over the luggage belt) for the checkpoint.
- Miami Mission Help #2: Once you hop over the conveyor belt you will want to take cover to the left side of the room to take out the enemies. Be semi-aggressive and move forward.
- Miami Mission Help #3: The hardest part of this mission for me was the hover craft. I kept on blowing up my craft. The best method I found was to get to the land/building as fast as possible and take out any hover craft enemies out on the land. This applies to both times (to the first land/building to cut the power) and the race to land again.
- Miami Mission Help #4: What get most people is the SSC building area. There is way too many enemies for this one! I used sniping for this level. Ammo WILL run thin until you get inside the building so you might have to "run" and get some (killing someone and grabbing their ammo). I suggest moving slow and picking off everyone. I found it easier, once inside, to go to the left side. Work your way upstairs and stay in the rooms while you pick people off. Once you pass the main lobby area the mission will get easier because you have better cover (either inside the rooms or behind the solid rails).

If your still having trouble:
- If you are playing with an AI partner there are two methods that can help you. Taking your time (see the next hint) or Checkpoint Running. With checkpoint running you gun down the enemies just enough so you can run to the next checkpoint. For the most part Checkpoint Running will work.
- If you are playing co-op with a human partner, take your time. Take cover as much as possible and conserve ammo. The more distance you have the better. Sniping is a great way to play in more open areas. Don't rush out and progress until you have cleared the area out first.
- Work with your partner (even if he is AI). Cover him when he/she needs it. Try not to get into areas where your taking on allot of fire, you may need to do some reviving and heavy fire makes that nearly impossible.
- There are TONS of professional mode walkthroughs on YouTube. They have them for everyone mission, boss, and hard point. There can be upto 9+ videos per mission so I did not post them here :)
- The maxed out Dao-X kills most enemies with 2 shots and also knocks down even heavy armored guards at mid to close range.
================================
Professional only unlocks after beating the game at least once on either Recruit or Contractor difficulty. Enemies hit harder and there's much less time for your partner to revive you when you are down.
NOTE: You can go to Mission Select and play each mission on Professional out of order and it will still unlock.
Tips:
- All Primary Weapons unlock after your first playthrough, so save your money for upgrading the firepower of your favorite guns. The Dao-X kills most enemies with 2 shots and also knocks down even heavy armored guards at mid to close range.
- Play slow and clear out all enemies before advancing (the majority of the the enemies in every area are finite, so you will eventually kill all of them).
- You can unlock this with either the AI or a co-op partner.
