Daily & Weekly event/achievement working as of 14-August-2021 @ 1:30pm ET.
Completed both in about 20 minutes.

Weekly events are not working these days. The game won't download the info for the event.
Daily events do work for me.

@HKTR2 I was having the same issue all day, tried again randomly at 2 in the morning and it worked. Seems real flaky

Mine just sits at the cloud downloading flashing symbol, nov 22. Daily or weekly.

Don't ask me how but after a few failed attempts, I was finally able to get the weekly challenge to load today. Popped at the funish line of the last stage.

Go to "Online Events" and then to "Daily Event". Give immediately after the completion of the fourth race, the result is not important.
There are random tracks, cars and weather, so other trophies may drop.
