You'll most likely get this achievement just from playing the game for some time, however if you're like me and you want to put it to bed here's how to complete it from the start of the game.

In the sandpit area you start the game in drive around and drift your car in this area for 5 minutes and the achievement will pop.

to start a free roam you can also do this from the main menu under free roam, this achievement is best done on Korkatti Lakes during the evening in my opinion.
