How to unlock the Into the Wild achievement in As Dusk Falls - Definitive Guide

This achievement is obtained in the sixth chapter of the game.

It is necessary that at the end of the fifth chapter Vanessa decides to go with Jay to Canada. In the sixth chapter when the two arrive at the police inspection and the same goes to check the license plate of the car, you will have two options, they are "wait for the guard or flee", choose the last one and so when they arrive at the park Vanessa's father will find them with the FBI, the girl will be caught and you will have the option to flee or surrender, choose to flee the scene. Choosing the option, Jay will climb to the top of the waterfall and if he plays, at the next checkpoint the achievement will be yours!

I got the achievement without Vinessa. when i was actually playin for ranger ceevo, but these 2 was all i need for the completion.

It happened exactly as described in the solution but I didn't get the achievement cry

Edit: It turns out you have to actually win the last QTE which means Jay jumps from the waterfall by himself and doesn't just fall down.

To add to UBERSILKR0AD's comment, this can be attained if you start Chapter 6 going solo to Canada. When at the police checkpoint, you have to flee the cop rather than wait for him to come back. After Zoe's segment and you're back with Jay, you'll be walking through the national park but end up pursued by cops again (not the ranger). Choose to flee when given the option, and then make sure to be successful at the QTEs. You should get the achievement when jumping into the waterfall.

Had Vanessa with me. We fled the cop at the checkpoint. I stayed out of the conversation with Vanessa and her Dad. At the waterfall, I had the option to jump alone or jump with Vanessa. I chose Jump Alone and the achievement popped after the FBI shot.

Hot chubster Vanessa wasn't caught, and I had no flee option - she and Jay run anyway, eventually getting to the waterfall drop. I chose to jump alone to be certain of getting this achi, but I'd guess you get 'into the wild' if the hot chubster jumps too.
I also had to replay from a generated Ch.6 start and after Zoe's swimming pool stuff I was in the car with Jay and Vanessa, then fled the traffic Police.

Can confirm that the achievement also pops if you choose NOT to flee the cop checkpoint and choose to jump WITH Vanessa (not the disrespectful name Goatlips gave her).
