As Dusk Falls

To earn this achievement you need to refuse to abandon your family as Jay once the police find the cabin.

To accomplish this, the cops must know about the cabin. This occurs during the Ash storyline in Chapter 4, when Ash gets saved by Dante you must ensure you reveal the location of the cabin. If in your initial playthrough that was the choice you made, you can load up and start from the "Reunited with Family" section of the story tree in chapter 4. If you hid the location of the cabin in your initial playthrough, then choose to start from the "Hid in Cabin" section of the story tree in chapter 4.

The below guide assumes you have now revealed the cabins location to Dante and you're at the Reunited with Family section.

Not all of these choices are critical, but I'll list all of my choices for the events leading up to the achievement:

"You're okay?"
"I got yours too."
"We stick together!"
"You're right, it doesn't."
QTE fight with Tyler, ensure you win this fight!
Help family.
QTE, make sure you successfully complete this.

After you start shooting at the cops, your achievement will pop right away.

The approach is to ensure the cops know the cabin location, fight and win against Tyler, choose to help the family, and start attacking the cops.

Chapter 4 - when playing as “Ash” the kid, at the end of the cabin sequence when the kid runs into the cop “Dante” choose to tell him about the cabin*This will lead to the cops showing up at the cabin before jay runs out in to the forest and fights with Tyler if you didn’t originally choose to tell the cop about the cabin. From here you will get a choice to help family or abandon family choose to help them to get this achievement. *This will also get you the “trail of bread combs” achievement if you chose to keep the cabin a secret originally.

Chapter 4 at the cabin ( Ash tells the truth to Dante in the previous scene ). Help family.
