Curses are listed and can be bought in the spells tab of the menus, under crusade spells. You will also find them in chests occasionally or as incentive to align a new caos warrior to a particular god. All you have to do is cast 20 of them (LT+B) with another player nearby, even if they easily dispatch it. In beta, you can even curse players of the same alignment! Methew has discovered that banish is considered a curse! I'd suggest using it to double up on achievements! Its cheap too!

Just curious, are they one use only? I found one in a chest, but was hesitant to use it.

Yes, they are consumable. They don't carry over through ascension without a legacy pillar, so use them before you ascend!

As of the game going live, apparently Banish is considered a curse. I just unlocked Hex Master when the majority of the vast majority of the Crusade spells I've used have been Banishes. It specifically unlocked after I used a Banish too.

This can be done accumulatively over multiple sessions.
I don't know if it has to be 20 unique or not but the best way I found was to buy 25 of the lowest cost curse (12.5k souls needed) and jump between areas with capture points where people are sure to be.
Ring of Bones in the Ruined Cliffs being a good one since the spawn is right beside the capture point.
Once you have this achievement, ruin some poor guys day with the other 5 curses for the 25 Crusade Spells achievement.

I just got this achievement after having cast only one curse in a session. It seems they've changed it so it's cumulative.

Okay the hardest part of this achievement is finding curses or buying them, they typically cost 2k souls or more in the store of the game.
Or you can do what I did and simply keep visiting dungeons and finding curses for FREE and using them whenever you see an unlucky player. I only really used them against enemy players but I think you can use them against allies aswell. I did use them in moderation but there's no reason for you to hold back if you don't want too.
There are many types of curses but they all basically do the same thing, summoning or sending enemies into another players world to grief them or slow their progress. Do this 20 times it doesn't have to be in one play session and it will unlock over the course of a few hours depending on how lucky you are.
