If you simulate ANY part of ANY Ashes match, you'll not get any achieves on that save file.

It's daft that you have to finish all 5 matches to get this achievement, but I can confirm that's exactly what you have to do.

Read the other solution, but I didn't save in between matches either and it still didn't pop. ARGH I AM NOT DOING IT AGAIN!

Win the majority of the five test Ashes series. You must finish all five tests to unlock the achievement.

A word of warning: there is a glitch with this game - if you save in between matches, you cannot get the achievement. Saving mid match is fine and should be done often.

As with all the tournament achievements for this game, simulating at all makes the achievement unattainable.

If you accidentally don’t pick a team and quit out you got to do it all over again or load a save.

Possibly there has been a patch to this game, as I have won the achievement today and I definitely saved between the 2nd and 3rd Tests, at completion of the 5th Test the achievement unlocked.

As mentioned in Guitarestmatt92's solution for Ashes Destroyer, I used Alastair Cook as my main bowler and the Ozzie wickets fell quite quickly. To speed things up after winning the first three tests you can declare on 0runs for your first innings on the 4th and 5th tests, bowl out the Ozzies and then declare as soon as you have passed their total leaving them only a few runs for the victory.

I did not save at all in between matches, won 5-0 and still didn't get it. I accidently didn't choose a team once and quit and went back to right before the match but this shouldn't affect it. Please help because I am NOT playing through the whole thing again.

This is pretty self explanatory; win at least three matches out of five to win the Ashes and this unlocks after the end of the fifth and final match, HOWEVER. Be warned, there are a couple of untold factors to consider. You can't sim anything, no matter how boring it gets, you can't save in between matches (saving during matches is ok) and, bizzarely and most importantly, you can't enforce the follow-on rule, which for the uninitiated means that you have to bat and bowl in both innings no matter how well you're doing and no matter how much of a legitimate tactic the follow-on rule is in real life. You cannot imagine the frustration I felt after I won the Ashes to not see this unlock, only to find out after thoroughly searching through Gamefaqs that I would have to play the entire Ashes again without enforcing the follow on rule, so I'm sparing you all of the agony and frustration of learning this the hard way.

Just another little tip that made this and the achievement for 40 wickets with a single bowler not pop, was that I finished one match then went to start the next without saving toward the end of my previous game. I accidentally didn't assign myself to a team so had to quit out and start again. This voided both achievements even though I'd won the series.

You need to win the Ashes series in single player, it doesn't matter if you are England or Australia for this. Remember to select easy difficulty. You can use a team of custom players with their bowling skills maxed out, it doesn't matter about batting because easy A.I are pretty terrible at batting, you can bowl them out for next to nothing. The Ashes is a 5 match series but unfortunately the trophy only pops at the end of the series. If you have won the Ashes by the end of the 3rd test at Edgbaston, you will have to play through the 4th and 5th tests for this trophy to pop, it will pop at the end of the 5th test.

Remember to use all the tips mentioned throughout this guide for this one.
