How to unlock the Not Done Yet! achievement in Ashes Cricket - Definitive Guide

Finally got this awful achievement and here is how I did it.

2 controllers.
New Men's Match
Difficulty : Easy
Match Difficulty : Rookie
Australia (controller 1) v Big Red Ants (controller 2)

Australia to BOWL First
Staac starting on the right hand side, towards a right handed batter, FULL delivery with a NORMAL speed.

The rest is complete luck, I tried many setups but this was the most reliable, you need to keep an eye on where the ball pitches, if it lands outside the wicket it will NEVER be called out.

Good Luck

I think this is one of the hardest achievements on the game, as it is pure luck in my opinion.

The aim is to use a review when you have been given out by the umpire, and for that review to prove that the umpire made a wrong decision.

The way that I chose to go after this achievement was to allow a good length (around 2/3rds down the pitch) delivery to hit my leg pads, while offering no stroke. If the ball was going towards the stumps, the umpire is likely to give this out. You will be given the chance to review the decision.

If the replay shows that the ball was missing the stumps, the decision will be reversed and pop! goes the cheevo.

Hope this helps.

I don’t get this achievement. I bowl and umpire doesn’t give out. I do my review and it shows it hitting the stumps but it still gets left as not out.

Sometimes if it is only clipping the bails/wickets ( I think in the rules it’s if it is less than 50%) then it is given as “umpires call” which means it goes along with whatever the umpire gave in the first place.

Hope you get it soon!

Not got it yet but started changing the delivery. Keep getting them out on call now and can’t contest it to get them out. Hopefully won’t be too many more attempts.

I've had several calls that were called not out originally, with the replay showing a clear hit on the stumps, still called not out after review. Generally happens in the first few deliveries of an innings. Dumb.

I think theres a rule in cricket where if the ball initially hits outside of the middle area on one side it can never be given as LBW. Not played the game in a while so can't remember if its leg or off. But try bowling to the opposite side and spinning back in to get around that maybe?

Later that day I got 2 overturned calls in the same over haha. I noticed that each item the review checks (where the ball hits the ground, in'line or out of line, and hitting the wickets) had a red banner when it did get overturned. Trouble is I don't recall if that was or was not the case for any of my non-overturned calls.

cant be put lbw if the ball pitched outside leg stump. and cant be out if hit outside off stump while playing a shot but can be given out if not playing a shot

Pure luck required. I got it with a marginal LBW decision reversal against a fast bowler who bowled an offcutter. Didn't quite move back enough and I got the reversal.

I literally just got this to happen... and it was on my guest account. Could see the ball was going down leg, the umpire gave it, reviewed and reversed the decision. Didn't count. Gutted

That umpire's call is nonsense! I challenged and got increasingly more excited as it pitched in line, impacted in line and then ploughed into the stumps...only to be given as umpire's call! The hunt goes on!

I got this one easily using the other guides setup, 2 controllers and bit a of Cricket knowledge.

Setup up the match per the other guides and make sure your main controller is batting. Position cn_RSu a right handed batsmen just in line with (or even slightly outside of) Off Stump, so that you clearly see Leg Stump. Then with the 2nd controller bowl an Off Cutter cn_LT cn_RSl at Normal length cn_A. If the ball pitches in line with the stumps and hits the batsman, use the 2nd controller to appeal for LBW cn_up. When the Umpire gives the batsman Out, "Challenge" that decision. You should win the Challenge as the Off Cutter will "cut" enough to miss the stumps and be given Not Out.

In my experiments this methods works about 5/10 times, so it might take a little bit of practice to ensure that you've positioned your batsman correctly. Good luck!

Here's a video that shows the above solution. You should get the achievement in about 2 minutes. If you'd like a longer written description, it's below.

https://youtu.be/NCH89GnDy1g

Here are a few tips for anyone as unfamiliar with cricket as I am.

Batting:
Off stump side is the side of the bat.

If you're looking at a right handed batter, use Right Stick to move the batter left until you can see about one stump behind him.

For a left handed batter, use Right Stick to move the batter right until you can see one stump behind him.

Bowling:
When bowling with Player 2, the key is to throw it far enough so it hits the batter at the knee or below.

I used an Off Cutter as explained in the solution (it's RT not LT, and right on Right Stick).

At first, I kept pressing A to bowl after picking Off Cutter, but the ball wasn't going far enough.

I decided to try Y for a Full Off Cutter bowl. Then use A for each meter, making sure to get it in the normal green color (not bright green). The ball should hit the batter around the knee. At this point, press Up on d-pad for Player 2 and umpire should call the batter out.

Challenge as Player 1, and the call should be overturned because the ball goes above the wicket.

I tried this twice in a row and it worked each time. Good luck to everyone who needs this achievement. It was incredibly frustrating trying to get it. Hope the video helps!

I don't think I did that properly at all...but it worked! Mine bounced in line, hit the batsman but went over the stumps.

I followed your video Sho220, and I still had trouble with it. With your setup, I eventually bowled the offcutter full, and hit A in both the orange spots. This got me the LBW, but on review it bounced above and to the right of stump. Still appears to be an ounce of luck to this. Glad I've got it now.

@DoddyLama glad you got it too! I wonder why orange worked for you and green worked for me. Wish I still had the game installed so I could try it out.

One of the trickier trophies to achieve. Every time you bowl a ball you can appeal after the ball hits the bat/batsman/goes past the wicket by pressing on the D Pad. If the umpire says the decision is not out, you will be given the opportunity to review the decision This doesn't happen in every format of the game but the best types of match for this are either T20 International games or Test Matches.

The trophy is achieved when the umpire gives the batsman 'not out' but upon review, he is deemed to be out and the decision is reversed in your favour. This is very much a process of trial and error and as you only have a limited number of reviews per game, it can be very frustrating. Advice here would be to play as Australia in a T20 game, making sure you have Mitchell Starc as one of your bowlers. Pick a low ranked opponent and bowl lots of Yorkers or Full length balls at varying speeds. If the ball looks to be hitting the wickets but hits the batsman's pads first, appeal for the LBW decision. If the umpire does not give it out, review the decision. With a bit of luck and patience, eventually you will have a reviewed decision go in your favour and the trophy will be yours.
