Probably a glitch. On the smallest ship, where 5 people are not allowed. At 10 it immediately fell out.

Maybe I had a glitch, but they only gave it for boarding “pirate hunters”. No trophies were given for ordinary ships.

Take a ship with 10, and shoot at the barrels of gunpowder first, and then at the survivors. I didn’t even go on board, it fell out right away.
