How to unlock the Headhunter achievement in Assassin's Creed Mirage - Definitive Guide
Throwing Knives are unlocked by completing the Hidden Ones initiation and can be restocked by looting from chests, buying from merchants or sometimes finding them in the environment eg on a table.
Hold to bring up the equipment wheel and use to select throwing knives. When you find a guard, hold to aim and press to throw.
Obviously, you need to aim for the guard’s head. Headshots do increased damage and will often instant kill the guards. This achievement also links to another achievement “Eagle’s Eye” where you must kill 75 guards with throwing knives, allowing you to gain progress on one achievement while completing another.
Edit: JSCGameplay has made a good point whereby sometimes, whilst aiming at a guard’s head, the cursor will automatically drop down to the body which obviously doesn’t count towards a headshot.
Edit: X30 Trucase also makes a good point in that some enemies are armoured and as such cannot be headshot/are much harder to headshot. The enemies I would recommend to kill with a headshot are Archers, Spearmen, Swordsmen and Marksmen. The other four enemies (Shakiriyya, Captain, Horn Bearer and Naffatah) all have some sort of deterrent for headshots/throwing knives in general.

Here just pay attention to the fact that when you aim, the aim automatically goes to some part of the enemy's body, you just need to adjust where to hit, as logically hitting targets in the head causes more damage, this trophy ends up being one of the easiest.

It should be noteworthy that this method only works on unarmored guards, as the latter wear helmets that divert throwing knives.
Also, the cursor changes slightly when aiming for the head. If you land a hit somewhere on the body (as it it will aim for the center body with auto aim), the cursor looks a little different. It's more obvious when the throwing knives don't cause too much damage in the early game, before they're upgraded. A normal hit on the body causes up to 70% in damage, when a "headshot" lands likely a 100% damage.

In this guide we will show you how to make headshots with throwing knives to earn the "Headhunter" Achievement/Trophy in Assassin's Creed Mirage.
In Assassin's Creed Mirage, you can use various tools, such as throwing knives and smokebombs, which will help you complete your mission.
To earn the "Headhunter" Achievement/Trophy, you need to kill 20 guards with headshots using your throwing knives. To achieve a headshot, equip your throwing knife by holding down the R2/RT button, then hold down the L2/LT button to aim and move the cursor to your unfortunate opponent's head. Repeat this process on 20 guards to earn the Achievement/Trophy.
It should be noted that your throwing knives are not infinite. At any given time you can only carry four, unless you upgrade them. You can collect throwing knives from chests usually found in restricted areas of the game. Sometimes you will find knives, on tables or other objects in the environment. Eagle Vision (left press the d-pad) can help you locate them (knives have a distinctive yellow glow).

There are two ways to get this. There’s the hard way, which is aiming a knife from cover at someone’s head and throwing it, or you can do it the easy way. The easy way is investing in the skill “Chain Assassination” - it’s in the Phantom tree and costs 3 Skill Points.
Chain Assassination allows you to assassinate a guard, and then press again (if you have knives), to throw a knife into someone’s dome. For starters, this is probably the best skill in the game, and secondly, once you have it, you’ll get this achievement without even trying.
Once you’ve headshotted 20 guards with the throwing knives, this will unlock.

There are two ways to get it: 1. Aim for the head. 2. Kill one guard and press immediately. to kill the second one nearby (will be an automatic headshot). Requires the "Quick Kill Streak" skill in the "Ghost" tree

You need to take the damage increase enhancement from the first line, and kill with one hit, killing with knives with poison does not count.
