How to unlock the Silencer achievement in Assassin's Creed Mirage - Definitive Guide
The easiest way I found to do this was while its still attached to their back, and here is a great place to do it early in the game.

You will need to find the Horn Bearer Enemy in order to complete this. An easy spot to find a bunch of them is Northeast Abbasiyah.
Once you find one use your eagle sense to see the horn behind the enemy, equip the throwing knife, aim at the horn and destroy it.

Horn Bearer's can be found all over Mirage, but are most often found in enemy camps/restricted areas. While you can use a throwing knife to destroy a Horn off of their back, the easier way to do this is to assassinate a Horn Bearer. Then, use a throwing knife to destroy the horn off the back of their body.
Look for a Horn Bearer by using Eagle Vision () while exploring the city. One may be found pathing near the location shown below in the map.
Next, equip your throwing knives by holding . Then, hold to aim at the horn on the back of his belt and press to destroy it. With the horn destroyed, feel free to finish off the Horn Bearer and other nearby guards.

Horn Bearers are perhaps one of the more annoying enemies. Not only are they armoured elite enemies with a two-handed mace, but they also carry a horn on their belts to alert everyone else if they spot you. So, actually being able to take out that horn before they even have a chance to use it is actually pretty damn cool.
First things first, to get this achievement, you need to find a Horn Bearer. Don’t worry, they’re all over the place, mainly in enemy encampments. You can identify them and tag them using Enkidu - they’ll have a horn icon over their character when they’re tagged.
If you’re struggling, though, try the Damascus Gate Prison in eastern Harbiyah - near the Iron Gate that leads out the city - this is where we unlocked this.
The next step is getting close to them. The one in the Damascus Gate Prison is up top in the middle, meaning you can snipe his horn from another roof, or get behind him, ready for a precision throw. When you’re in range - perhaps give it a save, just in case you screw it up - aim for the horn on his belt (left-hand side) and then throw a knife at it. Just remember that knives have ‘bullet drop,’ so you’ll need to take that into account when throwing them.
Once you smash it, not only will they no longer be able to alert the encampment of your presence, but you’ll also have unlocked this achievement for your troubles too. Nice!

ONLY the heavy (Brute) enemies blow the horn, make sure to aim the throwing knife directly at the horn.
You can usually find them spawned at enemy camps. Pretty self explanatory

In this guide we will show you how to destroy a Horn Bearer's horn with your throwing knife to earn the "Silencer" Achievement/Trophy in Assassin's Creed Mirage.
Horn Bearers are a class of elite guards in Assassin's Creed Mirage, and are easily identified by their muscular physique, as well as the horn they carry around their waist, which allows them to call for reinforcements.
To earn the "Silencer" Achievement/Trophy, you must destroy a Horn Bearer's horn with your throwing knife. The first thing to do is to locate such an enemy. In every restricted area of the game, there is at least one Horn Bearer, so you should have no problem finding one. Use Eagle Vision to locate him (press left on the d-pad) or summon the eagle Enkidu to scout the area from above.
Once you find a Horn Bearer there are two ways to earn the "Silencer" Achievement/Trophy. The first is to approach him from behind, pull out your throwing knife while holding down the R2/RT button, hold down the L2/LT button to aim, and then move the cursor directly onto the horn located in the soldier's midsection.
The second and easiest way is to first eliminate the enemy, carry his corpse to a spot away from the prying eyes of passersby, and then destroy the horn with your throwing knife, following the method mentioned above.

The trophy is very easy, find a brute with a horn, you can kill everyone to be sure and leave only him, he has a horn on his back, throw a throwing knife and the trophy is yours.

It is also possible to use it on an already dead guard with a horn, I got it that way myself.

You don't have to kill anyone at all. Just sneak up on the big guy and throw a knife into his horn and you'll get the trophy.
