How to unlock the A Pirate's Life for Me achievement in Assassin's Creed Odyssey - Definitive Guide
To unlock this achievement you need to complete Xenia's questline. You pick up this questline during Episode 4 towards the end when attending a party, you will speak to someone called Aspasia who will direct you to the island of Keos to meet with the pirate known as Xenia.
Once you reach the island you have to sneak, or kill your way to the building she is housed in and speak to her to begin the questline. Note you need 15,000 Drachmae to start it as she asks for payment before helping as long as you didn't kill any of her soldiers. If you did kill her soldiers she asks for 17,000 Drachmae instead, so do try and sneak your way to her. Once you have finished this initial meeting you will be given a quest ''A Chest Full of Drachmae',' so go and complete that, it's just to steal a nation chest. This is how you first meet her.
After completing her initial quest you need to then complete the three side quests that now open up in the town nearby for her next main quest to become available. Once you have completed these three side quests return to Xenia to acquire the quest 'Birds of a Feather' to begin her final set of quests. You will be given a set of maps and have to find the location of a golden feather for Xenia. The correct location is at the southern tip of the Isle of Salamis that is part of the Attika region, there is an altar with some vases, loot these vases to start the next quest 'Rumoured Feather Location'. Follow the quest marker to find the bandit that now has the feather, kill him and return it to Xenia.
After this you will be given another quest of this nature, 'Sacred Vows' but this time to find a bracelet. The correct location is the Temple of Poseidon at the southern tip of the Cape Sounion area of the Attika region. Once you're here you need to investigate the area at the back of the temple where a small alter is. Follow this trail to be led to where the bracelet is, grab it and return it to Xenia.
Then you will get the quest 'She Who Controls the Seas' that has you find 'Triton's Shell'. I don't have the location for this one since i picked this shell up by chance when playing through the game, however it is the same as the previous 2 quests, follow the maps to find the location.
Next you will get the quest 'Throw the Dice'. For this you have to go and get the maps from a merchant and then solve them to find out where the treasures are and there are two treasures this time. The Apollo's Lyre treasure for the 'Apollo's Lyre' quest is at Apollo Temple in the Forgotten Ruins of Makris area of the Euboea Region. The Pan's Flute treasure for the 'Pan's Flute' quest is in the Cave of Pan in the Marathon Beach area of the Attika Region. Bring both treasures back to Xenia for your final quest.
For your final quest, 'Priceless Treasure' you will need to travel to a fort and steal back a treasure. It is one of the three lootable chests at this location. Bring it back to Xenia to complete the quest and finally unlock this achievement.
Having a reserve save slot before meeting the character and not receiving a quest for the trophy in the main save, my dances with a tambourine began, namely with quests not completed in the area in the reserve slot, in a different sequence:
1) Rob the chest (Ksenia’s request);
2-3) Help the pirate in the market (We are not thieves and searching for treasure);
4) Destroy 3 types of ships for Ksenia’s assistant;
5) Find ocher for two Malakas and the broken ship "Gortaleza";
6) Save Gortalez after finding the ocher.
That is, there are essentially no more tasks on the island, all the search places have been completed, the ruler has been overthrown, after completing point 6 and the joyful return of the klutz brother - ABSOLUTELY NOTHING happened, exactly the same as in the main walkthrough they wish me “Good luck in the search ", looking into the distance, Malaka ...
I started looking for the reason on the Internet; indeed, a number of trophies associated with additional playthroughs, which subsequently give a trophy, are unstable in terms of their issuance. After reading the hints for alternative storylines, I concluded that I had not completed enough of the storyline to receive this trophy. Based on my assumption and the experience of other players, this quest will become available after the 7th sequence (chapter), but this is not certain, so all that remains is to check and go further along the storyline.
If this check is confirmed, I will definitely unsubscribe and it will be possible to conclude that the tips above misinform players in terms of the availability of receipt after the quest associated with the brother, without indicating the time of receipt (beginning of the game, middle, end). At the moment, the plot has stopped at receiving 3 quests related to finding the mother.
Hint update from 11/18/2018 The tips above ruined the whole impression of the game, because right away this quest is simply NOT available , but the descriptions give such an impression!
You can receive the trophy only after completing the 6th sequence (act, chapter), the necessary task “Birds of a feather” will appear on the island of Keos, and having found all the required treasures you will receive a trophy!
