There are 42 underwater locations. The one that I struggled to find is northeast of the island Thera, named Palace of Amphitrite.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has 42 Underwater Locations for the Child of Poseidon Achievement. You must complete all of the underwater locations by finding the sunken treasures in them. Use your eagle to mark the underwater treasures. Be sure to clear out the location so it shows a checkmark on the map or else it won’t count.

To unlock this achievement you need to complete every underwater location on the map. You will of course find these exclusively in the waters around Greece and to complete them you just need to loot whatever treasures are within them. I used the map from the first tip, everything was great!
I encountered 2 difficulties (I’m just adding to the original tip):
1) Shipwreck Bay - only 1 chest is in the water, the rest are on the shore (it took me a long time to realize that I had to land on the shore)
2) One of the underwater locations was not counted - I found the chests themselves, but the chest counter did not work, loaded from a previous autosave - it helped, so I recommend monitoring your progress, if you collected all the chests - the location should be marked as completed.

In one of the latest updates (1.05, if I'm not mistaken), the Yubiks changed the conditions for locations with locked chests. Now to complete it you only need to collect unlocked chests. And if you collected one of the chests before the patch, then after installing it the location will be marked as completed, but will not be included in the stats. Completing related quests will not help. You'll have to start a new game, go to Adrestia and collect everything again. So if you play offline and have collected one of the chests, then under no circumstances download the patch until the end of the collection.
