How to unlock the Island Hopper achievement in Assassin's Creed Odyssey - Definitive Guide

The Pephka Islands is the Eastern half the south eastern most island.
Obsidian Islands are Hyrda and Melos, located east of Lakonia on the main continent.
Abantis are Euboea and Skyros located just south of Makedonia (triple peninsula).

The achievement is for 20 combined quests between the 3 locations. There are plenty of quests available between the 3 locations. Pephka has 2 different quest lines for Minotaur that have 4-6 quests to complete. Also the smaller quests (black diamonds) count as well.

It is confirmed that you don't need 1 per island, just 20 total between the areas

To unlock this achievement you simply need to complete any 20 combined quests from the three islands of Pephka, Obsidian, and Abantis. Pephka can be found at the very bottom right of the map, it's half of the island down there. The Obsidian Islands are to the north west of Pephka and are the two islands: 'Melos' and 'Hydrea'. The Abantis Islands are to the north of Attika and are the Euboea and Skyros islands. There are plenty of quests to be found on all of these islands so pick and choose which you want to do. Complete any 20 for the achievement.

You need to complete 20 of the 23 available side quests on the islands:

- Pefka (Part of the island of Crete)

- Hydrea and Milos (Obsidian Islands)

- Euboea and Skyros (Abantis Islands)

This refers specifically to side quests (not contracts, not quests from the notice board), while battles in the arena (5 pieces, Pefka region) count.
To open all tasks on the map, it is recommended to synchronize all fast travel points in the Pefka region and on the 4 islands.

When completing quests on the Obsidian Islands, it is recommended to start with quests on the island of Hydrea and then move on to quests on the island of Milos , since the reverse sequence can limit the total number of available quests to 20 (this is enough for a trophy, but it’s still better not to risk it).

I took this achievement without clearing it sequentially, as stated above.
It happened to me when I was performing tests of the Minotaur exploits in Pefka. By the way, at that time, I passed the arena twice. The second time all the warriors there were lvl 50.

When completing quests on the island of Crete, I advise you to synchronize all points along the way for fast travel, since quests will often send you from one end to the other and I experienced difficulty in this. I had to run)

If you completed all the additional tasks on the islands, but the trophy did not drop, try to walk (or ride a horse) the islands up and down! I still had a hidden task that was discovered by Icarus, it was not indicated on the map in any way!

When the side effects with golden badges ended, I began to complete absolutely all tasks with the names of the required regions marked: both from the board and random ones (excluded contracts and headhunting). As a result: the trophy is mine. So, complete any tasks, as far as I know, there are no restrictions on their number. It is also not necessary to jump and search for Icarus; they usually begin to appear on the map over time.
