How to unlock the Lightning Rod achievement in Assassin's Creed Odyssey - Definitive Guide

To earn the Lightning Rod trophy in Assassin's Creed Odyssey, you need to travel to Andros (where you upgrade your spear) and head towards the east side of the island to find a new mission waiting for you, provided that you have the latest Odyssey patch.

Here you will have to fight a second Cyclops enemy, much like the one that earns the below trophy:

Steropes appears to be packing quite a lot of damage but unlike the original Cyclops its a lot easier to manage your movements out in the open, and you don't have a collapsing ceiling to deal with. Otherwise his attacks are pretty similar. Just be patient and bring fire arrows along with fire damage and you'll find this quite easy at level 50 (Steropes appears to be capped at 46 while the player is at 50).

To unlock this achievement you will need to fight and kill Steropes the Lightning Bringer. He can be found on the island of Andros in the area called Steropes Bay. Once you start the game up, the quest 'The Lightning Bringer' will be given to you. Just head to the map marker on Andros and the fight will initiate straight away. I was level 50 and Steropes was only level 46 so it made for an incredibly easy fight that lasted mere minutes.

It is expected on 11/13/2018, when it appears, you can find it on the island of Andros (where the forge for upgrading the broken spear of Leonidas is located), on the right side of the island where the cemetery of broken ships is. The corresponding mission will automatically appear in the task column.

During the battle with Sterop, do not climb onto the wreckage of a nearby ship, otherwise all the damage you caused to it will be reset and you will have to start everything over again.

The tactics are simple, you just need to move and not get hit, arrows will help you, distant shots with fire turned out to be the most effective.

All the time I stayed behind and literally kicked him in the ass, the immortal armor set and fire, a lot of fire helped a lot

I recently replayed Odyssey 100% on Xbox SeX and encountered the following problem: neither Steropus the Lightningbringer nor Arg the Shining spawned. There was no corresponding quest either. It is not known exactly what the bug is related to, but players from both Playstation and Xbox are complaining about it. I had to google for a long time to find a solution that actually helped.

The algorithm of actions is as follows:
1. Come to the “bay of the unknown” (bay of nobody - the spawn location of Sterop) and make a manual save.
2. Close the game and turn off the Internet on the console.
3. Start the game with the save from step 1.
4. Be transported to any other location in Greece.
5. Connect to the Internet without turning off the game.
6. Be transported back to the bay of the unknown.

After such machinations, both bosses appeared for me.
They also wrote that it helps to complete the first dlc of the hidden blade, or create a new passage immediately in Atlantis. It didn't help me, but keep this in mind just in case.

A powerful shot to the head with an exploding arrow (it didn’t work with others) at the moment when the villain closes his eye and runs at us, waving a club, can drop him (about 5 seconds). During this time you can kick him heartily.
