How to unlock the The Conqueror achievement in Assassin's Creed Odyssey - Definitive Guide
Please note: This trophy is missable.
To unlock the trophy, you will need to complete the optional quest called Free Their Minds, the Rest Will Follow before you begin the final Conquest Battle. If you progress to through the story quests without completing it, the quest will be removed from your quest log.
Free Their Minds, the Rest Will Follow
- Liberate 8 mind-controlled humans in Minos's Faith
- Liberate 8 mind-controlled humans in Pheraia's Retreat
- Liberate 8 mind-controlled humans in Deukalion's Heritage
This achievement is missable.
To unlock this achievement you need to make sure that before you begin the final quest and conquest battle, 'The Rebellion's Uprising', that you have completed the optional quest 'Free their Minds, the Rest Will Follow'. This quest tasks you with liberating eight mind controlled humans from each of the three regions; 'Pheraia's Retreat', 'Deuklion's Heritage' and 'Minos's Faith'.
You do this by knocking them out and then pressing to remove their mind control, much like recruiting lieutenants in the base game. The first part of this quest will guide you to a spot to liberate two humans and teach you how to liberate them should you be unsure, then you are told to liberate another eight from each of the aforementioned regions. Be sure to do this quest as soon as you acquire it so that you don't miss the requirements for this achievement before heading into the final battle.
This achievement will unlock at the end of the final quest 'The Rebellion's Uprising'.
Complete this task whenever you want to get the trophy.
Personally, I completed it after completing the third episode.
As soon as I found myself in Elysium, I began clearing out fortresses in order to weaken Persephone’s influence in the regions as the game progressed. And when I was given the task of freeing myself from Persephone’s spell, I did not find the required number of fighters in these fortresses in each region. So first you take on the task, then you clear the fortresses.
How to start a quest
After getting to Elysium, complete the tasks of Hecate, Persephone, Adonis and Hermes. After completing these 4 quests, several new ones will open up for you. You need one called “Dead Kings and Beautiful Things” - taken from Adonis. Go through a task where you are taught to free soldiers from Persephone's spell. And then the quest we just need is launched called “Free their minds, the rest will follow.”
