How to unlock the The Midas Touch achievement in Assassin's Creed Odyssey - Definitive Guide
Your first Legendary item is likely to be Nikolaos' Sword after completing chapter two of the game. Once you have a Legendary item, equip it in the inventory screen, and then scroll your cursor down to the hammer and chisel icon which contains your engravings.
Legendary Engravings have a gold border/background. Look through the list and you might have unlocked some already. If not, you can see what you will need to do in order to unlock it by hovering over it with your cursor.
Once you have a Legendary Engraving available, head to a blacksmith, select engrave, choose your sword or other Legendary Item and engrave it with the Legendary Effect.
To unlock this achievement you will need to engrave any Legendary Item with any Legendary effect. You will unlock engraving effects for completing combat challenges as you play the game, things such as kill 25 archers or kill 50 enemies with daggers, as well as unlocking them via general game progression and completing certain missions/objectives. Press then go to 'Inventory' then to the engraving list at the bottom. This list shows all of the engravings that you have unlocked as well as all of the ones you can unlock along with how to unlock them (though some are vague such as 'Progress further in the story to unlock'). Once you have acquired a Legendary engraving effect and a Legendary weapon/piece of armour, head to a blacksmith and marry the two together to unlock this achievement.
At first they are very small (%), it seems like they don’t provide much of an upgrade.
Over time, the leveling will reach 30%, plus LEGENDARY engravings will begin to appear, and this is serious, they are applied only to legendary weapons, which make it possible to add up to 2 additional slots.
