How to unlock the BOOM! achievement in Assassin's Creed Origins - Definitive Guide

I found that the easiest to do this Trophy was at an Outpost called Dasos. In this camp are four sleeping enemies in a tent at nighttime. Switch to nighttime and kill the fifth enemy silently who is usually standing around the wooden tower. Once you have dealt with him, pick up the three oil jars and put them in the tent with the sleeping soldiers. Light your arrow on fire and shoot at the oil jars. This should kill all of the enemies in the tent. Kill yourself and repeat till you have unlocked this trophy.

Note: I did this without the "Pyromaniac" ability unlocked. Not sure if it helps.

Worked perfectly, only thing I have to say about the video is that it might be helpfull if you capture the location on the map as well the next time you make a video like this. Saves a bit of searching for it on the map. :)

I wish someone would research whether or not this works with pre-lit arrows from like Smoke&Mirrors... I managed to get it but I switched up to lighting my arrows to make sure.

"On Fire" weapons like Smoke & Mirrors do count toward this

I would've added that the outpost "is in Ka-khem Nome on the far right side of the map." Other than that, seems great. I'm going for it now.

About 300m south of the southern tip of Lake Mareotis is a camp named Eremos Hideout with enemies around level 7. I did this late-game (level 50) with a Legendary Smoke and Mirrors bow, which is automatically on fire.

Fast-travel to the nearest point, and run or ride to the camp. Time of day doesn't matter, but there are usually two sleeping at night. In any case, if you're way overleveled, knocking them all out should be quick work. There are exactly 5 little jars of oil around the camp. Carry the oil jars (with triangle) over by each body, then shoot the jars one by one with your flaming arrow. If you don't have a bow already on fire, just draw an arrow with L2, and put the tip in one of the 3 campfires to light it up. Knocking them out unarmed means they won't get up and potentially run out of the fire.

This strategy should also work on the Dasos outpost mentioned in the other solution. Just assassinate them while unarmed, and it'll knock them out, but not kill them, so they'll just lay there in the fire. That outpost has 3 carryable jars, which should be enough for the one patrolling guard and two pairs of sleeping guards in the tent, if you set each one between two guards.

Fast travel between these two points, and you should unlock the trophy in about 3 cycles.

This is absolutely the optimal method. I did this while grinding the "old habits" trophy, and basically every outpost is an opportunity for at least 4 kills. The beauty of this is that setting a knocked out enemy on fire kills him instantly, you don't have to worry about their HP.

It is best to start working on this early in your playthrough, as enemies don't always die from the fire when they're higher level.

I worked on this while completing locations for "Old Habits", I would run a group of enemies around the location and shoot an oil jar when they were all standing next to it. If the enemies get stunned by the oil jar exploding, they're more likely to die from the fire. Do this quite a few times and eventually you'll hit 30!

First off, you will want to get a bow that shoots fire arrows. Once you obtain one, you will need to shoot the red jars that are next to hay while an enemy is standing on one. This will almost guaranteed kill them quickly. There are two excellent places to farm this achievement:

  • Dasos Hideout in Ka-Khem Nome
    • Use Dawn & Dusk to switch to nighttime. This will cause 3-4 enemies to be sleeping in the tent. There is another enemy that wanders around the camp, so kill him stealthily. Grab one of the smaller jars and set it inside the tent. Now, take out your fire arrows and shoot the jar, this will net you 3-4 kills.
  • Kibotos Arsenal in Alexandria
    • This location has red jars everywhere, so just look for enemies standing on the hay and shoot the jar, killing them almost instantly.

You can alternate between this two locations if you really need to, but to save time I would recommend doing these whenever you can while completing the locations. However you go about this, the achievement will unlock once you kill the 30th enemy in this fashion.

This is my way. Return to the starting location > go to the military camp > set fire to the arrow in advance > gather a bunch of enemies > lead them to the barrel and shoot. They are 1/2 level, their attacks will do little to you already at level 20.

Rewind time to night, take a barrel of oil and drag it to the barracks where the soldiers are sleeping, walk away and shoot with a flaming arrow. Repeat until the trophy appears.

If there is no fire nearby, you can set fire to an arrow from your own thrown torch

I tried to get the trophy this way for a very long time, but apparently it doesn’t work anymore. In order for a killed enemy to be counted, experience points must be given “for killing with a tool.” It's great in Alexandria at the Kibota Arsenal. You run there, attracting attention, and shoot at all the red vessels with fire arrows. After several times you will get the trophy.

My technique was this: I put the enemy to sleep with “sleep darts”
He brought a vessel with oil and placed it near the victim, selected a bow with fiery arrows and shot.
The enemy burns without even having time to squeak!

There is a suspicion that in order for kills of stunned opponents to be counted (as in the video), it is necessary to learn the skill “Experience for killing with tools”

I confirm my guess. Indeed, to get this trophy you need to level up the “experience for killing with tools” skill. Otherwise, murder will not be a defense, but in addition, I recommend collecting bodies in groups of 4-5 people, because if you shoot at a vessel in a group of 10 people, then not all murders are protected.

As written above, there is a condition “to increase damage/experience from killings with tools.” I did it at the lighthouse, plus a little in other camps. They didn’t give me anything, although it was already well over 30. As soon as I pumped it up, the trophy jingled from the very first kill. It turned out that previous kills were counted, but the achievement itself was not awarded.

This skill is a MUST! Collecting them in piles is a waste of time. It is counted as many times as the “Murder with a Tool” sign appears under the experience bar. There can be at least 10 enemies in the pile, and the inscription will blink 1-2 times. So it’s not worth collecting more than 2 opponents at a time.

There is an effective method. We go to a low-level military base, put away our weapons (put up our fists) and at one point beat everyone with our fists. The soldiers don't die, they just pass out. We take the jugs of oil there and set this groaning “heap” on fire. Video to help

Farms very quickly in this camp. There are maybe 3-4 police officers and there are vessels in the middle. They all piled up, they set it on fire, they burned, and you’re in the company. Appear in 2 steps and again. This is the fastest way. IMHO

The method of collecting bodies in a pile and setting them on fire no longer works. Don't waste your time. First of all, we pump up the “experience for killing with tools” skill. Then we kill enemies by setting fire to jugs of oil, either in real combat or when they are sleeping. After such a murder, you should definitely gain experience. Only in this case will the murder be counted! In principle, as you progress through the story and clear out the camps, you can knock out this trophy, it is cumulative, you just need to deal with your enemies more carefully.

As of January 23, 19 the fastest and most effective way to get the trophy.

It turns out that the trophy is a little glitchy. Using all the methods described above, he scattered enemies, brought barrels of oil, blew them up with a fiery arrow, died and repeated. I killed more than a hundred opponents this way - 0 results. I used the hint from psnprofiles. So.

1. We arrive at the fortress, which is higher than Alexandria. We jump down into the hay and down into the cart again.
2. We climb out of the cart and begin to aggro the opponents (they are level 8, I came there 40+ and they could not do anything to me). Important! We put the weapon - Unarmed (fist), they fall with one or two blows from the fist.
3. Enemies constantly raise the alarm, and we calmly “put them down” in one place convenient for us.
4. Enemies are constantly arriving, and we “kill them” (I managed to kill 38 of them, after that they didn’t come again)
5. OPTIONAL. Philakis may arrive. You can take him away from our pile, or you can take a sword, destroy his HP and finish him off with your fist (he will also fall down).
6. When our pile is ready, we run to the wall and take down small barrels of oil from there (fortunately there are a lot of them there) and carefully line them up in our pile (CAREFULLY don’t put it on the enemy, otherwise a lit arrow will kill the enemy, and a burning enemy will explode the barrel - does not count)
7. Shoot the barrels with fire arrows (there is a legendary bow that immediately shoots fire arrows, but you can also set your arrows on fire from a fire/torch)
8. We make sure that our entire pile is burned. (Over time, barrels of oil are cut and you can take them down again)
9. Click on the touchpad, then , go to the main screen.
10. Click play, select your save and appear again on the tower. Let's go down.
11. We find a “victim” for ourselves and bring it down with our fists, bring a barrel of oil to it and deal with it as we just dealt with our bunch.

To summarize all of the above, I made the most accessible video on receiving this trophy

In words, then:
1. Come at night to the Dasos Refuge
2. Use your fists to knock out bandits
3. Place bottles of oil next to writhing bodies.
4. Shoot flaming arrows at the bottles
5. Finally, wipe (suicide) in the fire to appear next to a location full of enemies
