A helpful tip to share, use a firebomb and then smack them around for a bit before backing off and throwing another firebomb. Rinse, wash, repeat until dead.

Phylakes are very strong bounty hunters who are much harder than regular enemies. They are spread all around the map and are a fixed level. They will hopelessly out-level you initially, so don’t worry about them right off the bat.

For this achievement, you only have to kill one (though there is a level 40 side quest that tasks you with assassinating all of them which will unlock very high quality weapons and a legendary outfit at the end). Open up your map and look for a red bull icon (you will have to zoom in a bit for them to appear).

Upon killing any one of them, the achievement will unlock.

The trophy dropped after killing the first Filak, who was level 20. in Alexandria. I don't know if this is a glitch, but apparently the tooltip for the trophy should be "Defeat Filak".

As mentioned above, to receive a prize it is enough to kill one phylakite, but I will still give a hint on how to take out these guys. Some are very strong. They can easily be carried out on horseback and with a spear in their hands. We take aim at him, jump around and strike. The main thing is to catch them outside the city, so that there is plenty of space. It’s also easy to take them out by throwing smoke bombs upgraded for damage. A couple of blows, throw a checker, hit the phylakite until it gets into the block, repeat until killed.

Just in case, I’ll note that Gennady (the first phylak on the assignment, level 15) does not count.

You can easily take them down in stealth. Especially somewhere in a fortress or some ruins. He poked him in the back with a hidden blade, ran away, hid, went behind him, poked him, ran away. Every 5-6 times he will drop dead if he didn’t bother leveling up his hidden blade.

To get the trophy, it is enough to kill one phylak. Killing the rest of the phylaks rewards you with the cool Black Hood armor. Opponents are easily defeated with fire bombs. Read more about all philaks , rewards and the location of the treasure chest in the detailed guide.
