How to unlock the Home Sweet Home achievement in Assassin's Creed Valhalla - Definitive Guide

Your settlement level is increased two ways: building the various buildings around your settlement, and allying with certain territories. Note that, while building a building always increases your settlement level meter, you only get an increase to the meter from allying with certain territories. Specifically, when looking at the alliance map and hovering over a territory, you'll be shown the reward for allying with it. If the reward is a blue square with a house icon, completing that questline will increse your settlement level meter.

In order to reach level 6 for your settlement, you'll need to complete all territory pledges that give settlement increases. You'll also need to build every building in your settlement. Note that there are three buildings - cattle farm, grain farm, and fowl farm - that can be "built" multiple times. You need to build all three of them four times each as well. In order to build this many buildings, you'll need to complete all raids on the map, in England. Doing so will provide you with all of the Raw Materies in the game, which you'll need all of in order to build all of the buildings. Raids will also provide you with Supplies, but unfortunately you will NOT get enough Supplies from all of the raids in order to build every building. You'll likely be upwards of 4000 Supplies short of what you need.

The only other way to get Supplies is from the regular lootable chests. However, as you may have noticed, some chests contain leather and iron, and some chests contain Supplies. Thankfully, it isn't completely random. The chests that contain Supplies are those chests that are found in civilian areas only. First and foremost, any regular chests found in monasteries and abbeys that you raid should absolutely be looted. These will always have Supplies, so never leave a completed raid without making sure you get all of the regular chests too. Check your map for the fainter yellow dots for the regular chests. With those all done, unless you were very meticulous about collecting chests everywhere, you'll now need to hunt down chests with Supplies in them. As I mentioned, only civilian area chests have Supplies. This means that any place labeled "garrison" or "fort" or any restricted areas with guards will NOT have supplies. Those chests will always have iron and leather. The same applies to any chests that are located in tunnels underground, and any located under water. Distrust areas, on the other hand, are perfectly fine.

To start, go to Lunden and Jorvik, two cities, and loot the chests there. Remember, especially in Lunden, that if it's a guarded restricted area, don't bother with chests in those areas. Likewise if you see any barracks or garrison in/around the city. Stick to the civilian areas. Once those are done, your next best places to go are the little towns with port fast travels (the anchor icon), such as Ledecestre, Grantebridge, Northwic, etc. Remember, don't waste time with chests underground or under water. Also, specifically do NOT waste your time with Wincestre (despite it being a city, every chest has only iron and leather), Donecaestre (not civilian; all chests are iron and leather), or any other encampments.

Once you have enough Supplies, you can finally build all buildings. You can get an idea of how many more Supplies you need based on how many more Raw Materials you have left. After doing all raids, building every building will use up every Raw Material, so if you have more than zero Raw Materials, you still have buildings left to build. Once they're all built, you'll finally reach settlement level 6 and unlock this achievement.

I didn't have enough boxes to build all the buildings, so I had to farm them. They are mostly found in small chests in settlements.

Bug with cursed symbol in north sussex. corpse prevents to move stone, when trying to pick up corpse and move it the game freezes.

solution: if you climb out of the hole you can find an angle at which you can hit the skull with an arrow without moving the corpse or the stone!

If you complete all the raids in England, you'll have just enough "Materials" to fully build a settlement to level 6. Down to zero.
"Supplies" is a regular resource, it can be found in regular chests, and "materials" are only found in raids.
If you've built everything and there's a millimeter left, like I did, check if you've built a house for Lebyazhye Stati. Their house with Hunvald is located near the Shipyard, on the territory that used to be part of the forest.

An update has been released. Now missing supplies and materials can be purchased from the merchant.

After finishing the game I didn't have enough supplies, and a decent amount at that, around 4000-5000 thousand. I recommend farming in monasteries, there is a 100% chance that 100 pieces will drop from each yellow chest (you can farm in cities, but there is a lottery, some chests have no supplies)

Having completed the entire campaign, I collected everything I could - there were still not enough supplies. In a foreign forum, they write that there are two versions of this bug - supplies do not drop after reaching settlement level 5 (to be honest, this is what happened to me). The second is somehow connected with the mastery quest.

Version 1.3.0. There are enough materials 1 to 1 to upgrade all buildings from raids marked in red. There will not be enough supplies from raids marked in red. You will need several thousand on top. But I did not experience almost any stress with their search. If you rummage through all the castles during the story, then there will be literally 1-2t of supplies left, which can be found by collecting other loot like Excalibur, etc.

Supplies from raids alone won't be enough, you'll have to look for them in settlements as well. So as you progress through the game, it's best to collect all the chests you see so you don't have to run around and farm later.

31.07 The ENTIRE map is cleared, all chests, EVERYTHING. 600 supplies are missing until the last building upgrade (although there is another building with an upgrade, maybe even that won't be enough). Fabric has also not been seen since the middle of the game. Platinum is ruined. Neither fabric nor supplies can be obtained anywhere. Support responded "We are aware of the problem, we are sorry."

Players who are unable to upgrade their settlement to level 6 due to a lack of supplies will now be able to purchase supplies from a merchant in the settlement. (Only available at level 5 and after collecting a certain amount of supplies).
After the story and all raids you should be at level 5. After that you can now buy consumables.

As of 10/26/2022 (game version 7.10), there are enough resources for construction + even some left.
The last building will probably be the house of the Swan State, which will be to the left of the pier.

Game version 7.20.
Settlement level 6 reached - supplies after this were 13,800, materials all went to zero.
I vacuumed the entire map of England and Norway, collecting all the yellow circles, leaving nothing that was marked in yellow on the map.
I never went to a merchant, never bought or sold anything.
At the moment, there are no problems with the trophy that there were before.

When transferring from 4 to 5 ps, this trophy was not transferred.
I thought I'd start from the beginning, go through all the raids and have enough materials, but it wasn't enough. After going through all the raids, I realized that I'd have to go through the story as well.
Consider this if you have the same. This prize is for 40-50 hours . All raids + more than 80% of the plot.
Someone at the top wrote that after level 5 of the settlement you can buy materials from the merchant (in fact, I was really counting on it), the merchant did not sell any materials or supplies. (After level 5 of the settlement, pumping 2 buildings, each time I visited the merchant - no, most likely it was meant after the full completion of the story).
07.10.22, latest version.

For those who have already built everything and have supplies and are not sitting around, it is worth checking whether the poultry farm, which is located to the northeast of the "long house", has been built.
Note that the bird won't see it unless you poke it directly. (Probably another bug)
