How to unlock the Scrambled Eggs achievement in Assault Android Cactus - Definitive Guide

This isn't easy by any stretch. It takes a bit of luck and skill to pull this off.

When you defeat a phase of Embryo, it will launch up into the air and land somewhere else. If it pulls off this maneuver, you will not unlock the achievement during this phase. Here's what you need to do and have happen:

1) Defeat the current phase you're on
2) Hope that the powerup that drops is a blue freeze (It needs to be this to begin with. There won't be enough time for it to change colors before Embryo moves)
3) While frozen, kill the whole next phase. You'll need full use of your secondary weapon to have a chance at this.

In terms of which character, I actually used Liquorice. You unlock her after completing the game. Using her "Vorpal Blade" secondary ability gave me the power to just take it out before it relocated.

You will usually get one of the blue orbs as a drop during the fight. I had it frequently as my second orb drop (after Phase 3). It can randomly appear after defeating any of the phases however.

Flabyo mentioned doing this during the Infinity Drive as well. This would allow you to have your weapon fully powered for these maneuvers. I don't disagree with the assessment. Either works though so if you don't feel like working up to Layer 7, you could still do it during a normal run.

NOTE: Many people are mentioning using Cactus herself here instead of Liquorice. That's just what worked for me so I can't disagree with their claims. In general, a lot of character selection comes down to personal choice anyway.

You can unlock this during an infinity drive as well, it makes it a little easier because you’ll most likely be starting the boss fight fully powered up.

But you do still have to rely on the luck of having a blue power drain drop.

The Devs mentioned on the steam comments section that the type of powerup drop depends on your timing, the powerup changes every 6 seconds, so if you were pretty consistent with your timings that would explain why most phase 3’s dropped a blue powerup for you.

Interesting. I didn’t realize that even the non-visible powerups had a timer going. It does nicely explain it though.

This was easy as fuck with Cactus... Just kept restarting till blue one popped at end of first phase abd flamethrower did the rest. Took 10 min after reading Ratpoizen comment.

thanks for the solution. Worked perfectly with Cactus, WITHOUT any Mega weapons on.

I got this without even meaning to while doing bosh rush. I used Holly, her cannon ball should pretty much one shot the phase.

I tried with Peanut after not having luck with Liquorice.
This is what I did, I did grab blue powerup instantly after lasthit one HP bar. Then I shoot primary weapons for 1 second or so, while he is stunned on floor. Then full secondary weapon (Drill) and got Achievement on my second try.

EXTREMELY EASY WITH CACTUS AND CAN BE DONE THE FIRST TIME YOU GET TO EMBRYO.

The trick is swapping to the flamethrower right as the first phase is defeated, then grabbing the powerup. If it's not shutdown, restart. If it is, immediately unload and you'll defeat phase two before he jumps away, having saved enough time by not needing to swap weapons after the shutdown:

Man I've been trying this for a while and it's like it almost exclusively drops firepower :( I got lockdown once but messed it up... Don't know how many times I've tried before but I just did it 10 times in a row, got 9 times firepower, one accelerate... Wonder if they changed this.

Edit: okay got it! I think this is another wonky random implementation. Embryo always follows the same path and I always finished the first phase in the same spot. Tried it like in the video killing it faster with the flamethrower, immediately got a lockdown, but not enough juice to kill it. Then just let it wander a bit more to kill it in another location, second attempt again got me a lockdown and it worked :)

Embryo is the first boss of the game. Pick Cactus as her flamethrower is great for quick damage. At the end of each phase he will drop a pickup, you need the lock pickup to do this. Once locked use your flamethrower to quickly beat his next phase before he can move.

Here is a video guide with English commentary!

I couldn't manage this with Cactus or Liquorice - they just weren't unloading enough damage fast enough. Instead, I used Lemon.

1st phase - get right in front of Embryo and unload on him as you back up
2nd phase - just avoid the bullets and gun him down
3rd phase - use ONLY your main weapon to finish him off - this gives your secondary weapon time to power up to max (see the little gauge around your feet) - for Lemon, this means she will fire more missles - if the Shutdown drops, unload your missles right in his face and that should do it - if something else drops, you could try again at stage 5, but I just begin again

This trophy is hard to figure out but easy to pull off with enough luck. The idea here is to start the fight with Cactus, wear the boss vitality down to a tiny bit before entering the second phase of the fight, and when your flamethrower has completely cooled down, shoot him with your primary weapon to enter the second phase. Right after doing so, the boss will drop an upgrade: if it’s not the Shutdown (blue) one, restart the fight, otherwise immediately pull out your flamethrower and collect the upgrade. The boss will be frozen and you will be able to damage him enough to enter the third phase. The trophy will pop right after.

If you are having trouble, refer to this video.

First boss, Embryo. The easiest way to get it is by playing as Cactus. To get the trophy, you need to destroy one bar of the boss's HP while he is stunned. To do this, we destroy the HP bar with a basic machine gun, grab a blue bonus stun, immediately switch to a flamethrower and fry. It is VERY IMPORTANT to switch and open fire as quickly as possible, because the stun timing is very tight. Well, blue stuns drop randomly, so you can restart more often for the desired drop.

A small clarification - you don’t just need to destroy the strip while he is stunned - the boss also should not move after changing the phase. That is, they demolished the first phase, immediately took the camp from it and immediately demolished the second strip on the spot. If the phase has already begun, removing the strip during the stun will no longer help.
