During the final boss fight of Zone 5 - Medulla, you'll eventually reach the last phase of Medulla's health bar.

In this phase, Medulla will be the stalk with an eye in the center hole of the level. Every so often, a laser will lower onto the level and charge up. It will fire for a few seconds and aim at you.

The goal here is not to have the laser turret deal all of the damage to Medulla. You only need it to get the killing blow. Therefore, your objective is to whittle down Medulla to the last little bit of health. That last sliver will be your target for the laser. I actually was downed when the laser took out the last of Medulla's health and still got the achievement.

Just as a note, I personally used Coral for beating this fight. When using her dodge (and really whichever character you decide to go for this with), make sure to dodge a second time immediately so you don't activate their Secondary weapon. In the case of Coral, the Plasma Field is dropped and will be able to deal additional damage to Medulla. I actually had a run for this achievement fail because the Field dealt the killing blow rather than the laser turret.

I personally found it best to stay in close and circle the center of the room to get the laser turret to shoot Medulla. Just remember to leave only a bit of health left. If you're having trouble, try observing closely how much damage the turret can deal in a single shot to further refine the amount you want to leave for it.

Medulla is the final boss of the game. During the final phase of the fight a lot will be going on. Including a laser turret that will appear, shot, and then move. You need to get Medulla down to extremely low health and then stop shooting and just attempt to put Medulla between you and the laser turret.
