How to unlock the Combo Master achievement in Assetto Corsa - Definitive Guide
This is not easy achievement, but when you realize how to do it, it's not that complicated after all. I'm suggesting to do this with steering wheel, but if you don't have it, it's also possible to do with controller. It will be just little bit more harder. I'm suggesting to practise drifting and learn the map before attempt this.
I have my own video below how to do it + settings. I'm playing with logitech G920 steering wheel. At the end of video (starting from 03:40) there is a clip where I'm showing how to do it with controller. I wasn't able to do 50 combos with controller, because i have practise drifting only with wheel. But only with few tries i managed to get pretty big combos so it's possible to do with controller.
1. Use BMW M3 E30 Drift
2. Use Drift track
3. Assist:
Automatic gearbox off (basically you will drive only with 2nd gear)
Automatic clutch on
Traction control off
Stability control 20% (This will help to stay on longer drifts and it's harder to spin and lost combo. There is big different when it's completely turned off or 20%.)
Mechanical damage 0%
Tyre wear off (Your tires will still overheat and lose some grip.)
4. When the game has loaded the map. Go to setup--> suspension--> Tyre compound: Street 90s. (These tyres will have less grip and drifting is easier and with slower speeds so it's easier to control you car. Just by tapping gas pedal will start the drifting so you don't even need to use hand brake, but feel free to use it if you need it.)
Tips and tricks
You can have two tyres on grass without losing combo. You can also hit the walls without losing combo. Don't do too tight cornering or the game thinks you spin and you will lose your combo. Don't let your car stop in any point, but you can actually drive on very low speeds. Try to learn some specific route for you, don't need to be same than mine. If you are trying to go some specific route but you can't make it. Improvise and change the route where you was actually going. That happened for me once.
Steering wheel
When you are drifting try to keep and stay on long drifts through the corners. Don't use full throttle all the time, just little bit under rpm limiter. When you are quickly changing the direction, let the wheel rotate it self and just stop rotating before it reach the full 900'. Start drifting with gas pedal and when doing straight line drifting don't turn the wheel more than 540' otherwise it will be difficult to find center of the wheel. And carefully tap gas pedal. On video's right bottom corner you can see how much I pushed gas. And virtual wheel in the game is same than my 900' wheel.
Controller
Basically drive big circle around the map. It's pretty hard to stay on long drifts so you need to collect your combo from straight line drifting pretty much. On video's right bottom corner you can see how much I pushed gas. Actually i was just tapping gas pedal and turning stick from left to right. Just repeate that until you get your 50 combo. On long corners try to keep slow speed so you don't get on grass.

You will almost certainly unlock this while going for any of the other drifting-related trophies. The description is slightly misleading, as the trophy is unlocked after you have completed 50 drifts in a single combo, rather than 50 different combos. Once this number next to the word combo reaches 50, you will unlock the trophy.
