Then Hot-Lap.
Any car you want, any track you please.
I took the BMW Z4 on Nurburgring GP (GT).
Careful not to receive a penalty, as it will invalidate your lap.
The achievement will pop sometimes during the lap following your first valid timed lap.

If like me you are horrendously bad at this game, use Highlands Short on the third page of track selection. It's very short and there's a barrier around the track to stop you flying off and receiving a penalty (a penalty will invalidate your lap).

Hotlap mode is the game's main time trial mode. It's just you and a car on track, driving constantly to set the best time you can. This trophy can be earned in any Hotlap setting, either in Drive or Special Events. Completing one lap on any track in any car will unlock the trophy.
