Asteroids & Deluxe

In the Asteroids DeLuxe mode at some random point in time a hexagon shaped object should appear. When you shoot it once, it should burst into 6 Killer Satellites that look like triangles. When you have shot it and they are after you just try to avoid them at all costs and don't shoot any of them. Then try stay alive until a saucer comes into frame and it should unlock.

Tip: When running away from the Killer Satellites try and get rid of all the asteroids except one small one because you will advance to the next level if all the asteroids are gone.

This isn't too difficult, but I wanted to give a little clearer of an explanation than a box of fish's solution.

First off, the easiest time to get this is in the first wave or 2.

Secondly, the killer satellites don't appear at "some random point". A killer satellite only appears when there are only a few asteroids on screen regardless of size. For wave one it starts appearing when it's down to only 3 asteroids on screen. Wave 2 it will appear with 4 asteroids left.

Third, when you shoot a hexagon killer satellite, it breaks into 3 diamond satellites. You must then shoot each of those 3 diamonds once, breaking them into 2 triangles a piece, totalling 6 killer satellite triangles.

Fourth, UFO's only appear when there are only a few asteroids left, or if you don't shoot anything for a time, around 10 seconds we'll say.

So basically your goal is to get it down to 2-3 asteroids. Once the killer satellite appears, shoot it once, then shoot each of the three diamond satellites once, then just lead those around until a ufo appears.

One more note: as long as a killer satellite or ufo is on screen, the wave will NOT end until they are gone. Even if there are no asteroids left.
