How to unlock the Rockstorm achievement in Asteroids & Deluxe - Definitive Guide
The must be done in regular asteroids on normal difficulty. You can choose evolved or classic, but I recommend classic as it's easier to see everything.
This isn't too difficult but you need to be able to survive for a few waves because the first wave doesn't have enough asteroids.
To get 24 asteroids on screen, you need at least 6 large asteroids to start. If you break each of those into 2 medium asteroids, that's 12 medium asteroids. You then break each of those medium asteroids into 2 small asteroids, totalling 24.
You may run into problems with just 6 asteroids though, as if you or a ufo accidentally destroys even one small asteroid, you can't get it. Your best bet is any wave after that where there are more than 6 large asteroids to start.
You must also be ready to use your thrusters to maneuver around without crashing into any asteroids. With that much going on on-screen, it's nearly impossible to stay in place without dying. You can however take a few sacrificed lives to make it happen if you have enough asteroids that losing one to a crash won't matter.
I'm not sure on the exact wave it starts being possible, but you should be able to figure out where to start with the information here.
