How to unlock the Blast Off achievement in ASTRONEER - Definitive Guide

As the description says : Build a Shuttle and leave the first planet that is Sylva.
To do so you'll need to build a Shuttle with 2 Aluminium and a Solid Fuel Thruster with 1 Aluminium + 1 Ammonium to launch it. And of course you will need to unlock these in the Research Catalog first (1500 and 500 Bytes respectively).

The Aluminium is either found in "Space Stations Wreckage" or you can smelt Laterite (using the Smelter) that you gathered from a natural deposit (usually underground in caves).

You can build the Shuttle in the Large Printer and the Solid Fuel Thruster in the Small Printer.

My advice is : before you leave the planet, stock up on things you'll need to start a new base on the planet you want to visit next. Planets have different types of ressources so be careful !

Hi, all you explain is ok, but how to choose the planet after take off? I'm in orbit around Sylva but I can't change the view that allows to choose the new destination ... (I don't see an orange icon above the shuttle as in some video on youtube)
Thx if there is someone to explain to me.

You may be looking at old footage, when Astroneer was in Game Preview.
Now, it's the same button to take of and to leave the orbit view (LB or RB on console idk about PC).

thanks for your quick response, but when I press lb or rb, it says I don't have fuel ... and unless I miss something, it seems to me that there are not the elements necessary to create this on the planet of origin. (I discovered the game for a few days and I play solo).

Edit : ok I understood my mistake: I didn't have enough fuel in my first Solid Fuel Thruster installed (I probably had a bad beginner handling ;). I did a new Thruster and it worked with lb / rb. Thank you.
