To unlock all of the blueprints in the catalogue you're going to need 125,000 bytes of research so this achievement should unlock over the course of a single game if you're planning on seeing everything.

Research comes in quite slowly at the start due to the game pacing. The research items on Sylva have fairly low value, typically 350 bytes each. The more exotic planets have much higher value items, for example the same items on Novus are worth about 2500 bytes.

So leave your home planet at the earliest opportunity and set up a research base somewhere more efficient.
