There are a total of 20 treasure maps on the four maps in the game. You can get the treasure maps in various ways, such as through side quests, trading, or in the wildlife habitats.
You can't miss a treasure map. For example, if a treasure map was the reward of a side quest and the quest failed because you left the map too early, you could buy this map later from a vendor.
I offer you here a single video of the treasure maps, as well as map videos and a complete video of the treasure maps. All videos include how to get the treasure map and the solution to the treasure map with the exact location. Timeline in spoiler.

I think this bugged out on me, I've got all maps, they're all checked off on the Journey screen, but it never popped.

i am kinda scared cause i had to pick up loot in wildlife in wildlands n my trasure says 8/8 but the wildlife says 7/6

You can get treasure maps by either completing certain unmissable Side Quests, buying them at vendors (you can also buy the same ones that you would get from Side Quests), and by completing Wildlife Habitats (see I Found It (20G)). There are 20 total treasure maps in the game.

Attention Coop players!
The game syncs the treasure map pieces across the 2 coop players be aware that because of this you can see the full treasure maps in Journey menu if for example your partner bought the 3rd map piece for a map from a vendor but you didn't (happened to me) and even if you collect all treasures from the chests you won't get the achievement meanwhile you see all treasure maps completed and collected all treasures from the chests.
Solution for the bug: You have to backtrack all treasure map pieces and buy them from vendors/talk to necessary NPCs who should have given to you them.
