How to unlock the Burning Ears achievement in Atomic Heart - Definitive Guide
Started a new game yesterday 27/02/23 to see if I could record some footage for a guide on this. Unfortunately the tracking is still an issue and multiple Chirpers couldn't be collected - they were suck under rubble or not selectable. What a joke!
Save Scum Method has now been patched (26/02/23). I'll leave the video below for anyone who might be curious what that was.
Missable: If you leave a mission location such as Vavilov, VDNH, Theater or Pavlov having missed a Chirper there's no way of returning to these areas to collect it.
There's around 75 Chirpers in the game to collect but nobody has yet documented them all. I'll be looking to do another playthrough once the achievement tracking bug has been resolved to show you all locations.

Not sure if this was updated in the a recent patch, but "All" ended up being 70 Chirpers out of 72*. I didn't have issues with tracking, and my progress rate was in line with ~1.43% (=100/70) progress per chirper. The Achievement tracker did not account for the decimal, nor did it appear to round up. For example, 4 chirpers would be 5.72% progress, but the tracker showed 5%. Therefore, every 7th one found = 10% progress.
1 1.43 = 1%
2 2.86 = 2%
3 4.23 = 4%
4 5.72 = 5%
5 7.14 = 7%
6 8.57 = 8%
7 10.0 = 10%
For me, the Achievement popped when I picked up #70 which happened to be from the last Chirper found in the Pavlov Facility. FYI, the Chirper near Testing Ground 9, "The Sun May Ever Shine!" (Open World #9?) was glitched for me, it did not appear in the Lore catalogue and the location only had the text box; I cannot remember if I picked this up previously and it didn't count or if it was never there.
There are plenty of videos available so I won't duplicate that here, but what I have done is add the catalogue of discovered Chirpers that can be viewed under the LORE tab, to help you see what you you may have missed or should be looking for. The list is aligned with the story progress as best I could, the "Open World" chirpers are split between main locations to help avoid a lot of back and forth that would otherwise take you away from progressing the story. Some of the location's text field is obscured in the Lore menu, some have been left incomplete and others I attempted to fill in the missing word where I could make a reasonable guess. Hope this helps.

doing 1 by 1 was to long so i found a spot with 3 Chirpers
in the quest where you need 4 canister to open a door.
Going for the 4 and last canister you will end up in a big room with huge tree root, there will be a small event and right after go through the left door which lead to the next lvl, kill every enemy, save the game go take the 3 chirpers and load last save until you get the achievement.

I still don't know the exact number of chirpers but I'm about to finish all the main quest locations and the open world. If they fix this in the future, I hope these guides can be used as they should be. I will update this post with the other videos.

I would have preferred a list or at least some timestamps on the video.

To start, the most recent update (2/21/23) has NOT patched this.
The guide above was a little longer and i have found a quicker route that gets you 1-2% every 30 seconds roughly.
Once you are in the mission Vavilov, you will get to a part where you put the 2 yellow charges to open a door, but there is not enough power. The game then leads you to a lab with red and white walls. If you put your scanner up you’ll see a save location with the usual chest and red AI upgrade system. Note: on your way there you may see the Chirper, do NOT pick it up. Once you get to the room, save your data. If you walk out the door and go to the right down the hall, you will see a Chirper on a few boxes. Pick it up. Once the animation goes away, go ahead and pause the game and hit “Load Game” and choose the most recent save which will say “Vavilov Complex: Hot Workshop. Hallways” and load it up. You will then respawn in the room. Go out into the hallway, get the Chirper, rinse and repeat. Goodluck!

You need to collect 70 Chirpers for this achievement to pop and it has to be done in a single playthrough. I linked a video where all 70 Chirpers locations are shown.
Take into account once you've left a story location such as Vavilov, The VDNH, The theater or Pavlov there's no returning and you would need to start an entirely new save.

I've been seeing alot of glitched chirpers, or ones that don't count if picked up during other dialogue. I'm not sure this will help anyone else, I played through the game on the "normal" difficultly, collecting as I found them, but definitely missing some (according to the tracker I had 67%).
It seems (at the time I posted this) there wasn't a concensus on the total number. But I started a new game on "peaceful atom" and followed a video from Ben-Gun. Made it through the first facility (the one with the birch tree). I would say I missed four on my initial play through. Then in the first open world area (Forester Village I think it's called) I collected one, that I definitely missed on my first play through and it popped.
So it seems to count chirpers again on a second playthrough whether or not you found them in the first game and just adds onto your percentage.
I hopes this helps other people and it wasn't just a weird glitch for me.

So it seems to count chirpers again on a second playthrough whether or not you found them in the first game and just adds onto your percentage.
I hopes this helps other people and it wasn't just a weird glitch for me.

To get a trophy, you don’t have to collect them all; you can start going through the game again and collect them as you progress, and the counter on ps will increase on its own.

Regarding Twitter No. 23, there is a way to get it, (tested on ps5 1.003.300) after we send the can to the hogweed and watch the cut-scene, we go immediately to kill the mutant mini-boss in front, do not go into any save rooms, otherwise It will work, as soon as you killed the mini-boss and went through the arch, you will see the inscription at the bottom of the “save” screen, immediately load into the last autosave and go to the place where the chirper lay and see that there is no garbage and there is an opportunity to pick it up.

I collected it according to the guide, the only chirper that I couldn’t take was in the open world “let there always be sun” For some reason it simply isn’t there. But thank God, as soon as I collected the last chirper, the trophy fell out.
