You will have way more than enough apples for this achievement. My apple achievement was at 60% when I unlocked this achievement.
You will see a slot machine at most checkpoints in the DLC. You need everything it has to unlock the achievement. Press RB on it to roll for some items and use RB on the item you want to unlock. If you do not pick something or roll all Xs, the price will go up and you will have to spend more apples. Reload your save to try again.
The slot machine will not roll an item you already have. The cost of apples will go up after every item you claim. The last item costs 335 apples.
Near the end, you may get all Xs and no item. Reload your last save if roll all Xs as you will just waste apples. It took me 5 reloads for the last item to show up and unlock the achievement.

I'm up to 380ish cost for rolls is it all the weapon upgrades or items or both?
