By Popular demand I am creating achievement guides for Atomicrops as I have had a lot of PMs and questions...
Please let me know if you want any areas expanded on.
EASY METHOD
As a warning on your run - do not pick up Participation Trophy. This item combines crops in a 2x2 formation without fertilizer. Large potato's count as only 1 and yes I tested that :).
Do not fertilize your potato's either as this combines them!
EDIT BIG POTATOES NOW COUNT AS 4
This achievement seems like a giant pain but really is a piece of cake but here is the process:
Mode: Year 1
Character: Rye
When you start, take the 4 potato seeds and do not plant them. This is so we can play as normal to build up some money to buy pickaxes and clear areas.
Play the game aggressively, clear the Desert and Plains in Spring, then Jungle and Tundra in Summer and aim to get:
1. Water Tractor - This is a must, don't be a clown and not buy this at the end of a Season if you have not obtained it anywhere else.
2. As many pickaxes and Earth scrolls as possible
3. OPTIONAL Grateful Crops (crops MORE likely to drop seeds when watered, I did this achievement without and find the powerup rarely makes)
Now in Autumn we will make our lovely Potato Farm.
Make sure you expand your land and make a 2x2 in an area off to the side of crops you grow. This is to plant Potato's on which you will not harvest until you are going to go for the achievement. This is also so you can still harvest some crops but not accidentally harvest the potato's.
After you have planted them, use the Water Tractor on the Potato patch and pick up the seeds, plant more potato seeds, rinse and repeat. Even with Fully Grown Potato's Watering them drops more Potato Seeds! so 4 plants quickly turns into 10, then water for more and more and more and once you are comfortable, let them all fully grow and harvest them all and boom achievement unlocked.
If you are worried about how many plants you have, take a screen shot with your Xbox or Phone, pause the game and count :).
This is honestly quite simple you just need to follow process. Your Harvesting circle radius becomes great over the seasons, so it makes it even easier but honestly 10 seconds is a HUGE time frame, you just need to get the plants.

eu fiz essa conquista no ano 1 também seguindo as recomendações dos amigos acima.
No primeiro dia da primavera nao plantei as batatas somente as plantas diversas que tinha a minha disposição consegui o máximo de dinheiro para comprar mais picaretas, jogando com a personagem que tem mais tempo e começa com um porco para ajudar a arar a terra, consegui o trator que rega as plantas já no segundo dia da primavera então comecei a plantar as batas e sempre regando, caindo sempre de 8 a 4 cementes, utilizei aproximadamente 6 pombos da terra, plante sempre as batatas uma próxima da outra para facilitar a colheita, no ultimo dia do outono depois de vencer o chefe fui para a conquista, colhi as batas acredito que eu tinha pelo menos umas 200 batas e pimba a conquista brilhou, boa sorte galera.

Congrats on first to complete and thanks for the solution. I look forward to your other solutions for this game. I love this game so much but don't know the best ways about going about some of the achievements.

You need to have Sprinkler Tractor, use it on planted potatoes to generate seed until you have the 144 seeds.
