How to unlock the Hard to Complete achievement in Attack of the Movies 3D - Definitive Guide

I Can't get this achievement because i can't beat the second part of the graveyard level but when your looking at the main menu go to power ups (or pickups) and then scroll over to the locked power up press A and enter "MEGASHOT" in all capital letters and it will unlock a gun like the double shot but with two crosshairs hope this helps

Yes you still can get the achievements. Try playing with 4 people, as this helps a lot.

It Is a cheat code but it was originally obtained by pre-ordering this game so its technically also a pre-order code so you can use it even if your against using cheats :)

I completed this game in just a few hours by myself. I'm not bragging because this game can be very difficult because of one fatal flaw. The cursor is way too sensitive. It's something you really have to get used to. I can't stress it enough but besides that once you get used to it you can get every achievement pretty quick and easy. There are just a few strategies for certain levels that help quite a bit. I only remember a few but they are for the hardest levels so this should help.

Level 1: Ant swarm (or something like that)
At first this level can seem almost impossible because of all the projectiles but eventually I figured something out. Whenever you kill a blue ant that shoots green slime at you the moment it spawns, another spawns right after. So what you do is never kill the blue ants just shoot the projectile or they'll just keep spawning and drain all your life in one quick combo. Like I said early you really have to get used to the control so it might take some time to actually hit the projectiles considering you have to be about dead center. Once you get that down this levels really not that hard.

Level 6: Graveyard rush (once again I don't know the actual title)
This level was by far the hardest to beat alone. I HIGHLY recommend a friend for this one. I did beat this alone but it was a real pain. As far as a strategy goes for when your alone its just shoot and reload and try to prioritize the front line forces while shooting the projectiles and then take out the zombies that hangout in the back. If your with a friend you can just have one shoot the projectiles while another takes out the front line forces.

I don't remember any of the other levels being a struggle and the bosses are super easy but if anyone needs more help just comment or PM me and I'll try to get back to you ASAP. Hope this helps. DON'T FORGET TO USE THE "MEGASHOT" code in the missing powerups menu. It can be very helpful.

That tip for the insect invasion level made it a breeze on my own, even on hard. Thanks

This wasn't too bad. Just the graveyard level is a pain. That long section in the crypts with no health and the skeletons and the 2 mummies at once took an hour for me to pass that.

And on ant level, this guide made it a BREEZE, do NOT kill blue ants. Just shoot the green balls and it's all over.
Thank you.

Thanks for the projectile tip for the blue ants on Level 1. Immediately after reading that I focused on hitting their acid balls and I was able to beat the stage shortly thereafter. Hard mode wasn't too bad for me, especially since I saved this achievement for last and by that time I had played through the other stages quite a few times while attempting the miscellaneous achievements. Here are some of my main tips for the game:

- Practice and adjust to the control sensitivity. If you're still struggling with aiming, try using the right thumb stick to aim. Personally, I was more precise with it than the typical left stick.

- Don't always shoot power-ups or first aid pick ups in the background immediately, wait for the best time to use them. Level 1 is a perfect example of this as most first aid pick ups are available to pick up throughout the entirety of the stage from a distance (and you can shoot them during later harder sections). For some timed sections of levels (where enemies will run away after a while) you can even cheese sections by allowing enemies to hit you and just shoot a nearby first aid kit to replenish your health. You won't have to worry about defeating enemies and the game will just advance you to the next area over time. Deep Sea Danger and Graveyard Gunfight have sections where you can do this.

- Turbo controller helps but is not necessary at all. Having extra people to play with you makes it easier but is also not necessary (with practice I nearly got everything done solo).

The 2 stages that gave me the most trouble were:

Level 2 Cosmic Combat:
This stage gave me a lot of trouble, more specifically the section right after the halfway checkpoint. After passing the asteroid field and through the reactor, not long after you'll be bombarded with green and red ships. The key to clearing this section is to (with good aim) destroy them from behind as they fly onto the screen. If you shoot most of them in the bright light from behind their ship before they turn around to attack, that gives you a good chance of surviving their collective attack on you. Try to take out the red ships quickly as they seem to inflict more damage than the green ones.

After I got pass this single section I beat the entire stage on Hard first try. It's just that one section where I died on repeatedly. Another tip is to start the entire stage over if you die. Beginning at the halfway checkpoint puts you at an unfair disadvantage and at least if you start the stage from the beginning you can try to get a Megashot and keep it long enough to help out with destroying the ships in that difficult ship section.

Level 6 Graveyard Gunfight:
This one seems to give everyone trouble, mainly because of the second half section in the tombs after the halfway checkpoint. Also, until right before the boss, there appear to be no health pick ups to my knowledge in the entire tomb section. However, it seems the projectile tip applies here too with the skeletons. Shoot the skulls instead of the enemies to prevent more from spawning. If you're lucky, the game will spawn green skeletons instead of the more aggressive red ones. In the first section, I'd focus on the skeletons closest to me as it seems melee damage hurts more than the projectile skulls being fired. Kill the green ones first since they drop faster and try to line up your shot with skeletons who are behind others. Try to keep your health high. If you are at less than 80% health after this section then just die intentionally. If you lose too much health it will make the double mummy section later even harder.

After killing a string of mummies and passing through darkness with bats, you'll come to a second section of skeletons. This section spawns lots of tougher red skeletons. Like before, try to shoot skeletons who are lined up and focus on the ones in front, only stopping to shoot any skulls thrown at you. When shooting the double mummy enemies, try to focus on the first one that emerges from its coffin and only direct your fire to the other one as it is about to hit you. If you're lucky you'll be able to finish off the first one before that is even required but it might save you a few seconds from being hit (which is why it is advised to clear previous sections without too much damage).

There are a total of 6 levels in this game. You must beat them all on the Hard difficulty settnig. This is quite the task by yourself. I would suggest at least 3 people if you can manage it. The extra people will help with the level based achievements.

  • Insect Invasion
  • Cosmic Combat
  • Robot Rebellion
  • Emperor's Tomb
  • Graveyard Gunfight
  • Deep Sea Danger
