How to unlock the Hope for Everyone achievement in Attack on Titan - Definitive Guide

Edit: A couple of people have mentioned in the comments about the tracker on the achievement stopping tracking progress. This is a potential heads up for this cheevo potentially having trouble unlocking.

Once you have finished the Story in Attack mode you'll enter a Camp/Hub area (Which you will enter every time you select Attack Mode from the main menu.)

From here you can replay main missions (the 3 main chapters) , access survey missions, play special missions and upgrade/buy equipment and even level up characters should you so choose to do so.

People will also start appearing around here with requests for you to complete as you do these things. Some will be tied into certain Survey mission areas, some will require you to kill certain targets etc.

There are 81 Requests in total. You are given 3 requests (one at a time) by a person before that particular chain is considered finished. You should be able to make your way through them all as you make your way through the Survey missions in order to get

Attack on TitanSurvey Merit 3The Survey Merit 3 achievement in Attack on Titan worth 130 pointsReach 100% Survey Mission completion.

I went through the list on my xbox and wrote down all the requests from start to finish. They wont 100% be in the order you receive them (Or at least as I made my way through some unlocked mid list) but it will list all requirements and quest givers so you can make a check list and/or simply see requirements.

Whilst in attack modes camp you can check which ones you have active and current progress for each one by pressing cn_start, clicking Task Information. (Thanks Surferhead20 for reminding me to add that)

It's rather long so I will put under a spoiler.

Side note: You may have to swap characters to get new missions to appear as quest givers wont appear if you are playing as them.

Also once the 3 are complete you will get a cut scene (Which unlocks in the "Other" Section of Regiment history in the Gallery) signalling it is complete. If you head back to the main menu after this and re-enter attack mode you can 9/10 get the next quest giver to appear before starting the next mission. Saving you a little bit of time. However, sometimes you will need to finish off current requests and/or do a special mission (since its possible for a request giver to be tied up in being the host for a special mission on the map) before more will appear so don't fret it a new person doesn't appear on that 10th time!

EDIT: Thanks to Darkwings17 who has confirmed for me that whilst you are unable to pick up requests in the Exhibition mode camp, you are able to able to complete them in co-op. It should be noted that whilst some request progress will be counted via other team mates and yourself, some will be fully reliant on your own e.g Body Parts. Meaning it will speed some requests up and slow others down.

Also I assume they are also in True Attack mode which unlocks when finishing story mode but I haven't been able to check and therefore cannot confirm so let me know in the comments if you are able!

Hope it helps! As mentioned though, I did them all in Attack mode solo play. I have no idea if you can recieve requests in exhibition mode or how co-op affects it (e.g. do subjugations by others count towards our total etc) if you can do them with others present!

It is a possibility which of course would make it quicker if you were able but since I cannot check I cannot confirm or deny.

Just something to potentially look into if you have people you play with later on!

You can work on the requests during Exhibition mode, but you can't pick up new ones in that camp. Every now and then you will have to back out and go into Attack Mode to hand them in and get new ones.

Co-op counts towards everyone, for example if your team-mate kills a titan whilst in titan form, it will count for you as well.

In the main camp (Attack Mode) where you do missions, replay missions, and do survey missions you can press start cn_start and click on task information. It keeps track of the requests you have started and how much more you have to do to those individual requests. Very helpful in keeping track of what you have started and how far along you are in those individual requests.

Darn I am aware of that obviously since I copied it all out but totally forgot to mention it cause I was so used to doing it I did so often it was common place lol.

Thank you for reminding me to let people who haven't realized know this.

What exactly is a quick attack?

It's the chain ability you get with Mikasa and Levi etc where you can keep pressing Y after the first hit to get extra hits one after the other.

Think 3 is the max but if you get Levi to Lv. 7 his 7th ability allows him to do 5 in a row so can make it faster.

Ok just had a look for you.

Mikasa gets Chain Attack as her first skill.

Sasha gets it as her second skill.

Levi gets it as his second skill (As well has his increased version at level 7)

Erwin gets it at level 6,

You can use any of these people for it as long as they have the skill unlocked.

Anyone else having problems getting the quest givers to start you up? I've got all story and survey missions done, and loading up every character I still can't get the some of the quests. Do some of them only appear if certain characters are leveled?

Edit: seems I had to finish off a quest chain for Mikasa (used Levi) and then switch to Armin to get the next step, hopefully this unlocks the rest of them.

Yeah sorry. I said 9/10 it works re-entering the camp/selecting new character cause sometimes they use won't pop till you progress through more. I update that later to be more specific for people.

Yep, I was just surprised that I had all of them done except that one and had all of the survey missions done and it didn't want to give me the requests for the last survey area until I had that one complete. I had to do "Over protective Mikasa" and then switch to Armin to get "Super Over Protective Mikasa" and upon completing that one, 3 of the last 4 request chains I need unlocked.

I guess I assumed that they unlocked based on the survey missions available, not by just which ones were already done. Thanks for typing all this up, by the way!

Just read through my last comment. Lmao wow that's why you don't use your phone to reply at 7am lol.

Anyway updated to mention sometimes needing to finish off some before more unlock.

I don't think there were more than a couple that happened that way luckily (Most popped up asap thankfully, and the ones that didn't seem to happen closer to the end).

You are welcome though! Hope it helps people.

As an update to my previous comment, it looks like not all quests work in co-op. Body parts and Signals seem to be reliant fully on yourself. As for quest givers not appearing, I had a similar issue, only I had no quests active. I ended up loading in as Erwin which allowed me to get Mikasa's Super extra overprotective, upon finishing that, three others appeared.

so how do I unlock Pyxis, Eren, Keith, and Miche's requests...do I have to finish Chapter 4 before I can unlock those or should I be able to do them all cuz I've switched to every character and I just can't figure it out without playing through the rest of the story and survey missions

Have you finished off all active requests? I did mention that sometimes new ones wouldn't appear till current ones were finished.

Looking at my achievements I did all requests before finishing off the chapter 4 special missions (I think i had done one or two missions but had nor finished it). So you definitely don't need to complete it for more requests. Unless mine glitched.

But yeah all mine unlocked making my way through all survey missions as i went through them. Sometimes appearing straight off, other times after completing requests.

I also got the 100% of survey missions before getting 100% of requests. I think I only needed to repeat a handful of missions in the last area to mop up the remaining requests.

If you've finished off active ones and nothing I'm honestly a little stumped. I can only suggest trying a special mission or a survey mission or two to see if anything appears.

I may just have to do a few missions because I was missing Miche because he was waiting to give me the first mission. Of chapter 4 once I finished that his requests unlocked but I still need Pyxix, Eren, and Keith I'll try completing more missions and surveys I'm still not done with the survey missions so I'll try finishing those up as well

Ah good point on the mission giving. I added above about "freeing" up characters in the hub to potentially free them up for request giving if people are stuck so thank you for that.

If mine didn't glitch then you shouldn't have to do all chapter 4 for them to appear so hopefully they'll pop soon if related to chapter 4 missions.

Sorry for not being much help though. I didn't come across the problem personally so I had no idea!

I am confused about something for the Achievement i have completed about 20 or so requests on plain Attack Mode and I haven't gotten my progress bar to move from 31% in the last 5 days
You know what's up? If possible id rather get messaged/party invited over xbox for help for this issue

Unfortunately I do not. The tracker never seemed to have any problems for me. (Or at least none that I could see, I didn't really check it that often though. Mostly at the end of a session).

The fact it isn't moving at all seems odd. I know sometimes achievements and tracking can be bugged (The reason I haven't started playing ReCore yet is because of the broken tracking lol) but obviously that would be really unfortunate as I have no idea how to fix that.

I know some people in the ReCore discussions said hard resetting the xbox could help get it to start tracking things again but I have no idea if that would help for this game. (It would be unfortunate if you had to start from scratch).

So alas I'm not much help. I apologise for that. I hope if hard resetting doesn't work, it'll maybe either fix itself and/or someone else who came across it is able to pop in and help out.

I seem to be having the same problem as xXD1rtySa1ntXx. Done 6 of the requests and my progress bar hasn't moved at all. Really hoping it's not bugged....as much as i'm enjoying the game i'm not sure I could handle all the grindy stuff again >.<

My tracker has been at 0% for the majority of my playtime, however I started TA Mode a few days ago and have noticed that completing the true attack requests rather than the normal mode ones has got the tracker moving for the first time...very annoying if that means I now have to go through and do them all on true attack mode instead as I literally had a couple of questgivers left in the normal camp. -.-

Edit: Mine seems to be completely fucked, now that the trackers started, it's also now counting ones in normal mode, this is going to be a nightmare to keep track of :/

To anyone whose tracking is stuck at 0% or any other. I just got the achievement despite the tracker being stuck at 0% all the time.
I did all the requests/tasks on normal Attack Mode, no need to suffer through True Attack mode for this achievement

So I have completed one of Jeans requests but she isn't in the camp to turn it in. This is because I'm not the right character yes?

Honestly not 100%. Been a while since I played but the only times they were unavailable to me were if

1) I was playing said character

2) They were the person hosting the special missions next to the gate (making them essentially MIA till said mission was done.

If they aren't turning up generally I'm not exactly sure why I'm afraid D=

Oh ok then! I'm glad it worked our for you. With the people having trouble above I was worried lol. As long as it continued for you that's OK though.

Good luck doing the rest!
