How to unlock the Autonoshy achievement in Autonauts - Definitive Guide

Making food is mandatory to make your colonists happy and fed them.

You will unlock better food with each stage and the food of the previous stage will normally be the base resource for the one of the next stage.

It starts with normal berries making them into spiced berries and then into stewed berries.

I think it only counts things made at least in a cooking pot so I think stewed berries already count.

After that comes Berry Jam, Berry Pie, Berry cake, Berry Danish.

So thats quite a long production line you need to automate with bots, as every step needs more ingredients.

So this will come naturally when trying to complete the game.

This did not come naturally while trying to complete the game, probably because I realized as you progress and need higher level food, you only need one per baby to evolve to next level, then can continue feeding them with just berries. So I needed to cook hundreds more food for the achievement after endgame.

I ended up needing to increase production of berries, weeds, and clay pots (and thus clay itself). Was only cooking stewed berries and berry jam as beyond that was just too complicated, needing pastry flour butter all that. You don't have to make 1000 consecutively, you can load a previous save and make stuff again. Spiced berries didn't seem to count as its just mixing berries with weeds and not 'cooking' with fire.

Progress was very slow but keep adding bots to automate and increase production and you'll get there.

If I rember correctly giving your folk only low level food results in them only producing low level folk woov that you need for the research.
That's why my opinion was it wouldn't be a good idea.
Also if you automate things properly you shouldn't have much work with it yourself anymore and can just let it run till the achievement pops.

The trick I have found is that, when folk run out of food, their 'quality' drops back down to level one. If you feed them the appropriate level item (say, Lv3 Berry Stew), they will start producing Wuv of that level. If you keep them from dropping back to zero food by, say, shoving eight more regular berries down their gullet, they'll remain at their current level even if other needs (shelter, clothing, entertainment) run out. Keep them topped off, and you'll still produce the higher-order Wuv.

The side effect is that you don't need as much cooked items, so you may not get this quickly as you would if you focused on it. Conversely, if you automate and have storage, your bots can be busy cooking and stockpiling towards the goal., even if you don't use them up as quickly.
