Just play through the really rather well made tutorial for this one. Should take around 15-20 mins.

Didn't unlock for me, but my unlocks have been buggy lately (in the Delta ring).
Edit. I was in creative mode initially, I believe. Did the tutorial again in Settlement mode (I think that was it anyway) and it popped after I built the third bot and programmed it.

Yeah it has to be settlement to get this achievement to pop

This achievement is easy. All you need to do is:
1.start world
2.open book icon in the down side of the screen
3.there will be book in the plans section called "tutorial". And close to the book is button with some pink thing. Click it and the tutorial will start. You can skip all task by pressing skip button. And now you have this achievment :D
