There are a total of 9 locations for these data collectors. The only prerequisite is that you must have access to the entire map. To complete one of these objectives, you must first use your SID device on the computer terminal which will then turn on the 3 data nodes that are hidden around the nearby area. Some of these can be tricky to spot so I recommend you watch the whole area in the video before you take it on yourself.

All 9 of these are named and you can do these in any order. This is helpful because you can track which ones your missing by going to your menu under the journal tab then selecting lost items then selecting Recon Retrieval Data. I’ll make sure the names of each of these are in the video and in the chapter selection if you want to just look for the ones that you’re missing.

You’ll know you’ve gotten credit when you scan the 3rd data node at each location and the name of the data will pop up in the corner of your screen.

The Recon Retrievals are actually the Data Collectors which you will find in the open world. There are 9 data collectors to complete to earn this achievement. In order to complete each data collector you will have to activate the main computer using SID and then find the 3 recon beacons located in the area at each location and turn them on.
