How to unlock the No Easy Prey achievement in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora - Definitive Guide
One of the toughest fauna of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is none other than the ferocious panther-like beast known as a Thanator. While you'll come across a feral Thanator in the game's campaign and various side quests, you'll need to seek out and defeat a “non-feral” Thanator to unlock the ‘No Easy Prey’ trophy.
Non-feral Thanators are perhaps the rarest predators in the whole game, but when one is close, you'll definitely know it.
You'll find a non-feral Thanator in central Cradling Pines in the Clouded Forest, just east of the Carver River (near the Budding Watcher). You'll know when you're in the right place because a.) The outlines of your screen will start to develop a white hue around them; and b.) You won't be able to use your Na’vi Sense ability, with your character saying (amongst other things) “What was that? Why can’t I focus?”
After a short amount of time of staying in that area with the white HUD display effect, the Thanator will turn up, and let me tell you, it's a proper beast! The best way to defeat it is to find a tree in the area, and dance around it.
The AI of most beasts in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is pretty dense, so you can use the tree to quite easily see off the Thanator. Just simply use the jump button to the left and right (with it acting like a dodge) and then take pot shots at the beast with your Longbow (quick to draw, quick to fire) and you should see off the beast with relative ease.
Do that and the ‘No Easy Prey’ trophy is all yours.

The screen will look like this as you approach:
!!!Do not confuse with the effect of hazy colors, they also give the effect of a white screen on the sides!!!
