How to unlock the This is Madness! achievement in Aven Colony - Definitive Guide

This can be done on any campaign mission you feel comfortable with but I managed it on Vanaar. You will be working with fewer initial resources, more colonist demands and frequent negative events. You will most likely have to complete all of the optional objectives to ensure you have a steady stream of income. Just take it slow and ensure you have Scrubber Drone/Lightning Tower coverage and this should not be too challenging. Ive listed out all of the objectives below.

Build a Water Pump
Build a Farm
Build a Wind Turbine
Build a Mine on Copper
Build a Geothermal Generator
Build an Outpost
Build a Nanite Processor
Build a Mini-Storage Depot
Build an Immigration Center
Build a Habitat
Build an Intake Fan
Build a Trade Hub
Grow 100 Melons
Export 100 Melons
Upgrade the Geothermal Generator
Upgrade the Construction Drone Hub
Build a second Construction Drone Hub
Pick up the Cargo Pod (The nearest one is on the far left of the map)
Export 160 Rice
Build a Storage Depot
Build an Energy Battery
Build a Lightning Tower
Construct 3 Additional Buildings
Upgrade a Farm (though not a Greenhouse, as those don't count)
Export 200 Broccoli
Build a Research Center
Research Cerulean Glow
Build a Chemical Plant
Manufacture 200 Cerulean Glow

Win a Referendum (Get to 100 Population ASAP)

Pretty easy actually. Only took me around 45min.
IMO there's enough Iron around you to skip the optional trade missions.

Only difficulty I had when a plague epidemic happened and my happiness dropped to 55% but as there was no referendum during that time I had not much to worry about.

Great solution, thanks for spelling out each step! I had some severe Air Quality issues about halfway through the mission and some Commute issues near the end game, but all-in-all this wasn’t too bad.

Anyone else having trouble with this achievement? I've completed two missions on Insane and it didn't unlock.

Did the same mission with the same settings again today and it unlocked. Wierd.

Refer to Speed Runner for a complete list of the primary and optional objectives, needed to meet the victory conditions.

I did it on mission 1, although it seems to me optimal on mission 2, since there are many more resources on the map, which is important, given their acute shortage on insane difficulty. But even so, if you have become accustomed to the game, you will not have any special problems and will be able to get the coveted trophy somewhere around Sol 10. The main thing is to monitor the mood of the residents so as not to lose the elections, this is very important at this difficulty.

Easily done on the first mission, it can be combined with the achievement of a 5-sol fast walker.
