How to unlock the You Have Been Warned achievement in Aven Colony - Definitive Guide

I did not get this naturally through the campaign. Instead, I loaded a save towards the end of one of the campaign missions (in my case, Tenari Glacier), set the game speed to maximum, and recycled all the air inlets, filters, and any other structure that tended to improve air quality. After a minute or two, the red air quality icon appeared, soon followed by a verbal warning. Saved the game right after the icon appeared but before the warning. Reload the save and repeated.

Throughout the campaigns, you will most likely see a red notification pop up on the right side of your screen that indicates their is some sort of problem ie high crime, air quality alert, insufficent power, plague infections, creep spores, etc. If these problems are not taken care of you will eventually receive a warning from Veronica. Once you recieve 10 warnings the achievement will pop. This is a cumulative achievement and does not have to be done on one map.

Fastest way I found was to get to low water. You can get rid of water supply fast, and the warning comes quickly as well.

Make sure verbal warnings are on in options.
  1. Start a new game or load an early game.
  2. Go into inventory (open cardboard box icon on info bar at bottom of screen).
  3. Scroll down to water and destroy (cn_X) until you have less than 2 water/person.
  4. Exit inventory and let game run for a bit. You should get a warning from Veronika pretty quickly.
  5. Repeat as necessary.

You get warnings when you are low on food, water or air for your colonists. This will most likely occur during normal play since you are always getting yelled at for one thing or the other. To get this early on in the game, you can purposely deny your colonists access to food, water or clean air but no cleaning up the air is the fastest way.

Also, you can make life easier for yourself by ensuring the "Verbal Crisis Warnings" option is set to On (Options => Verbal Crisis Warnings => On).
