How to unlock the Booster Shot achievement in Aven Colony - Definitive Guide

This is a simple achievement. First, it is required for you to build a Research Center and upgrade it to level 2. After upgrading it you unlock numerous boost research options: Ventilation Boost, Drone Boost, Plasma Boost, and Scrubber Boost.

Ventilation Boost: Increase effectiveness of Intake Fans and Airfilters by 250%
Drone Boost: Increase effectiveness of Construction Drones by 250%
Plasma Boost: Reduce Plasma Turret cooldown by 50%
Scrubber Boost: Increase scrubbing speed by 200%

After researching one of the boosts, you must have an energy battery with power stored in it. Go to the policies screen (where you set colony policies such as rationing, etc.) and activate the boost you want to use. After simply enabling the boost you will get the achievement.

Only completed the first two missions so far, so I might never have known about this. Thanks for the explanation.

Boosters are acquired, once you build a Level 2 Research Center and research the relevant options. After researching a booster, you will need an energy battery to enable them. These can be enabled though the Colony Control Powers and Policies tab ( then press until you hit the right tab). The following boosters will all count for this trophy:

Plasma Boost - Increases Plasma Turret firing speed.
Drone Boost - Increases drone construction, repair and recycling speed v2.5x.
Scrubber Boost - Doubles the effectiveness of all Scrubber drones.
Filtering Boost - Increases the effectiveness of all Intake Fans and Air Filters by 2.5x.
