Just a heads-up that this achievement didn't unlock when I opened a total of 10 chests. I was playing the game without cheats then.
I eventually did the cheat trick - UUDDUURLLR X at stage select screen. This unlocks 50,000 gold and 30 purple keys immediately. I opened 10 purple chests in a row, and the achievement unlocked.
Just sharing in case you're having issues with this one.
