To get the true ending you cannot damage Moebius in the second phase with Kirin's sword. The possessed GV is fair game for all attacks but when Moebius is made vulnerable you need to spam it with fetters. There will be a scripted event in the fight that will give you limitless fetters and you should be able to finish Moebius off in 3 cycles with solid mashing.
