How to unlock the Stacked Deck achievement in Back 4 Blood - Definitive Guide

UPDATE

As of the June Update, all 15 cards from your deck will be put into play when you start playing. No more picking your next card at the start of the next level.
Multiple purchasable Cards can be found around the levels all costing 500 Copper each. All you need to do is now buy an extra 10 Cards found in the levels.
There are also the Free Cards in the levels as well.

ORIGINAL POST

You need to activate 25 Intel Cards in one game, through out one playthrough. This HAS to be done with other players due to how they haven't allowed you to gain achievements on Solo Campaign. This is between all players in the game, but with my instance I pretty much got it by myself activating 25 Intel Cards.

Start from Act 1 and make your way through the game picking a card at the start of each level, activating the free Intel Cards you find & also buying cards you find through out the levels.
Randomly spawning in the levels you'll find either a open Intel file case which are free Cards or a closed Intel case which are purchasable Cards. Closed purchasable Cards are cards that aren't in your Deck.

I made a Deck starting off with the four Copper cards I have so I was racking in Copper as it was collected through out the levels.

The way I managed to get this was rather unusual... I used the 'Quick Play' method to join a game, selected Recruit and Act 1. It found a game at 'Special Delivery' and after I got to choose my character, the game told me it's taken my first four Intel Cards from my Deck I made, and then gave me the chance to pick another 16 cards. 16!!
So from there I picked up any free Intel Cards I could find in the level and then scouted every where for Copper so I could buy any purchasable Intel Cards in the level. I marked the locations with the Marker (LB) so my team mates could pick them up/buy them as well.
The achievement popped when I got back to my Fort Hope.

One of my friends said the achievement randomly popped for when she was playing with friends. She assumed one of them found Intel Cards during the game and them picking up the card counted for the team.

This just won't unlock for me. I have had many Runs where I have had well over 25+ Cards in play at once. Even my friends unlocked the Achievement but I didn't. I got no idea what is happening here.

I thought I must of had it when I finished playing the game for the first time as I started from Act1 and carried on until atleast Act 2, but nothing popped. In my instance where I got to pick 16, I just spammed the Marker button on every free & purchasable Intel Card I could find until I saw the other players grabbing it.
It unlocked for me when I got back to my Fort Hope, not during a game.

Where do you find purchasable and free intel cards? Are they randomly spawned in the map? Or are you referring to those purchases in the safe room that cost 1500?
I had 24 cards (the max) and I was sure I found a few throughout my gameplay but no achievement.

The issue I'm seeing is it seems to not be giving me new cards...each time I get to choose a new card it's the exact same 4 or 5 over and over again when my deck is all pretty much unique cards

This achievement’s not unlocking for me, I had more than 25 active cards after playing in a same run for awhile and even when I go back to Fort Hope, the achievement’s still not popping

Around the levels, randomly spawned, you'll find either a open Intel file case which are free Cards or a closed Intel case which are purchasable Cards. I've noticed the closed purchasable Cards are cards that aren't in you Deck.

I don’t know what’s up with this achievement. I just had 40 cards active after completing Act 2 and no achievement.

Maybe the achievement is faulty and it's only unlocking using the Quick Play method.

Didn't unlock for me either, when I definitely had enough at the end of Act 1 and 2.

Edit: Finally did. Unlocked at Fort Hope after finishing another Act 1 run.

When you guys are saying you had over 25, are you counting Only your deck and cards picked up as intel?
Or also the mutator ones that run along the top, and the gold team upgrade cards, as possibly neither of those count..

The cards you pick at the start of each level are on the bottom lower screen of the last set up screen before you start moving around in the level. Those are the cards you need 25 of. You can press RT to go onto the next page when you've filled those first set of squares up. It shows character cards in there which are the characters abilities, I don't think those count.
I don't think the cards across the top count because they're set to fight against you, to make your game harder. They aren't something you choose to add.

I joined a random game using quick play but once I had joined it said I could choose 43 cards I’m super lucky and managed to get the achievement maybe you have to use the cards that give you 5 bonus health the cards that you can repeatedly use for each game it’s just a thought not sure if that actually works but that’s what I did after choosing all my deck cards so it could be the answer not sure.

I think this one is deserving of a buggy tag, I would report it as such.

Continue to report this achievement as Buggy+ and Buggy-

@Whats a Chundy, "I had a total of 28 unique, and 67 total cards active at once. It unlocked in quick play, however, it only unlocks if you're prompted to pick more than 25 cards once you join the game."...

For me the Quick Game picked my first 4 Deck cards then I got to pick 16 myself. Bought a few in the levels and unlocked when I got to my Fort Hope. It doesn't just unlock when prompted of picking more than 25 cards.

I searched until I got in a game where I could draw an additional 16 cards. Played until the end of the act picking up as many cards. My achievement popped once I was back in the fort

I ended Act 2 with 27 cards in play and 5 corruption cards on top and the achievement never popped.

Were there 27 actual cards in play, or did you count the character ability/stats cards as well? Because they don't count.
It has to be the 15 cards in your deck and then 10 of either the Stamina, Health, Ammo & Fortune cards. Or any card that's from the Silver Closable Intel Boxes that randomly spawn in the levels (these boxes will give you cards that aren't in your Deck you're using).

I had well over 30 cards active several times and no unlock.

It unlocked when returning to Fort Hope after a game with only a handful of cards active.

So maybe there is a massive delay, or it is a bit flakey.

Maybe the description is inaccurate and should be “use 25 unique deck cards in games”. Someone without the achievo would need to test this and create 2 decks of 15 cards (or several custom decks) with different cards in each deck and play 2 or more coop games in order to use all 25 cards to see if achievo pops.

Can confirm that you do not need to be in quick play to unlock it, that doesn't work either.

As "xUND3RTAK3RxRKO" I've tried this as well and it DID NOT work for me, however, it worked for the other person I loaded in with. I was the host.

Just did a quick play that started in progress on "Abandoned" and then continued on to "Sound of Thunder", then returned to Fort Hood. It prompted me to pick 49 cards at the beginning (screenshot available on my live profile). I had a total of 28 unique, and 67 total cards active at once. It unlocked in quick play, however, it only unlocks if you're prompted to pick more than 25 cards once you join the game. My previous comment did not mention that, but that's why my friend got the achievement and I didn't.

So bottom line is it's glitchy, and all you people downvoting his solution better be reporting Buggy+/- achievement tags as well, or you're part of the problem.

On every map, around 3 Card Shrines can be found and at least 1 Free Card Shrine. The simplest way to obtain this Trophy is to play through Act 1 with a deck containing all Copper Cards (There are 7 in Total).

As of the June (V 1.000.008) Update, you now start the Act with your full deck of 15 Cards, so only 10 Cards need to be found and added to the deck in game. Using a Copper Deck will give you enough Copper to afford Cards when found. The DLC Character Heng can also see the outlines of Card Shrines through walls which will make them easier to find.

Alternatively after completing Acts 1 and 2 in Recruit, you can start a run from any level in these Acts. Playing the Final level in these acts will grant you enough "catch up draws" (Free basic card draws) to reach the 25 Card limit required.
