How to unlock the The Path To Glory achievement in Back 4 Blood - Definitive Guide
When you create a new Trial of the Worm you can select various modifiers to make the run more difficult and increase the multiplier as shown my the number in the top left.
In order to accomplish this, you need to beat a map that has over 20x modifier by selecting enough modifiers to increase over 20x (NOT A WHOLE RUN) and it will unlock.
There are many different configurations, but I would recommend picking maxing out the player modifiers as they don't limit you much and then only selecting from the modifiers about increasing the number of enemies. This will keep the damage relatively low and strength of the enemies relatively low even though they are swarming you.

Are you sure you don’t need to beat all 4 maps with a 20x modifier?
I just did the 100k achievement and on my 4th map bumped the modifier to 20x but didn’t get this achievement?
I must mention that my modifier was exactly 20x, maybe you have to be more than 20?

I am positive that was the method to unlock at least at the time that I posted. Try going over 20x before starting the first map. I did not complete a full run of Trial of the worm for any single achievement in the title update

I just completed this, and it wasn't too bad. If you are having trouble with it, here's a safe method for trying your best to complete it:
General Tips for TotW:
You can do the first 3 of the 4 levels with no modifiers. Since you don't need points for this achievement, focus on upgrading your character to the max and getting ideal weapons and attachments. This will prepare you best for the 4th level, which you will bump up the modifiers to 20x. As long as you play well, get lots of copper and search everywhere for upgrades and copper, you should be in good shape to complete it.
When you do get to that 4th level, bump up the multipliers until it says 20x or higher at the top left. You can do exactly 20.0 or go a little higher. This is what I used for 20.1x:
5/15 Difficulty
12/15 Ridden
6/15 Horde
15/15 Hero
You only have 90 seconds to make these changes, so choose quickly!
Check the modifiers for each mission before selecting. In the first 3 stages I chose the ones that granted extra copper to be found, since you need money to build your character. If you play with no modifiers, it's super easy and you can take your time. I used Tala, so that I would get 1 warped chest on every map, and that worked out great for 1 extra basic card every map, plus legendary loot drops. If you see orange medical or ammo drops from those crates, use them to get the free cards, and grab something else!
If you find the whistle that calls Jeff on the third level, hang on to it for the 4th. He's amazing as a helper and distraction, you will want to call him every horde when playing at 20x.
Buy Toolkits in the first 3 levels! Great loot spawns in the secret rooms, try to open them every level you can! This will get you ready quicker, and let you get attachments for good weapons sooner.
Buy cards on the map when you can! This is why you want copper early, cause some bonus cards can make you super powerful!
Use burn cards if you are going all in!
First level use Hired Gun for copper
Second use Hired Gun again for more copper.
Third upgrade your primary weapon (if needed). I used Dustys Custom Melee, and got purple claws, but if you have a great weapon and you want to upgrade it, use the Primary Weapon Upgrade card.
Fourth map you will just want to survive, so use Hazard Suit or Extra Padding.
Melee Temp HP Card build:
Meth Head
Adrenaline Fueled
Brazen
Pumped Up
Breakout
Fit as a Fiddle
Spiky Bits
Face your Fears
Numb
Mean Drunk
Battlelust
Copper Scavenger
Vanguard
Expired T5 and Pyro (optional, but together they are great)
The last 2 cards are optional, but I like having that T5 as a backup plan if I get swarmed and need to bolt to a safe room. You could also go for some stamina or damage resist, but I love killing stuff!
Find a cleaving melee weapon, I prefer claws, but bat or machete works with this build.
You DO NOT want an overhand melee weapon, because you don't want to headshot the ridden on your 20x level. They will likely have exploding head guys, and you want to hit them in the body with swipes.
Focus on getting attachments for melee that give:
Slot 1: +HP per kill
Slot 2: Melee attack speed
Slot 3: Damage boost (legendary in this slot gives HP per kill too!)
You will likely never die with this kind of build, unless a boss is too strong for you. Melee kills on the ridden heal you a ton, and Vanguard heals your buddies.
Do all this, and you should be good to go!

I thought I'd never be able to do this on x20 but here are my tips:
Max out the Player and Ridden corruption to 15/15.
Keep the Hoarde and Difficulty corruption to 0/15. This will give you x21 multiplier and makes it way easier.
I did a shotgun build to suit my play style but it doesn't really matter.
I did this with bots only (disable crossplay).
Go for for a Ridden hive level when it comes up- This was much easier as you can exit the levels early by finding ladders. If a ridden hive comes up in the map select, then go for this every time.
If you are struggling, complete 3 of the 4 levels with no modifiers so you can buy corrpution cards during the level for 500. Also improve your weapon at the safe house and buy the toolkits every time.
