How to unlock the Cold Steel achievement in Bad North: Jotunn Edition - Definitive Guide

You can check an island out without having to deploy. It will show if its snowing before deployment. The island Gullingen had snow on for me, but I'm not sure if this is random or not. It was quite far along in the game and there was a lot of enemies to defeat before I claimed victory.

Probably took about halfway through the game for me for a snowing map to appear

I got the achievement on the Saltholm island, on my second playthrough.

I got this on the battle called Coll . It was during my first playthrough, I was at 60% in story, right after my 1000 kills achievement.

I noticed the weather is not always the same on a given island on a given run.
I had gone to the island by mistake before pushing to new round,
weather was clear,
got out back to the map, pushed X to new round,
when I got back to the island, it was raining.
