BALAN WONDERWORLD

This is the main task of the trophy list which will require the most time and effort. Every act in a chapter has 6 Balan statues you must find. Aside from that, each act also has a number of Balan's Bouts which you must receive an EXCELLENT rating on to obtain a gold statue. Acts in chapters 1 - 4 have 1 Balan's Bout, acts in chapters 5 - 8 have 2 Balan's Bouts, and acts in chapters 9 - 12 have 3 Balan's Bouts. Before going for this trophy, I highly recommend unlocking the Ultima Tim and Balan costume. This costume makes traversing levels a breeze and allows you to easily search around for statues. I also suggest using the X-Ray Ape costume from Chapter 10 that allows you to see statues and objects through walls. This can really help in your search for statues, but keep in mind that some statues simply cannot be reached or accessed without the use of a specific costume so make sure you are collecting as many as you can. You can view how many statues you have in an act by going into the pause menu and selecting the Balan statue tab. A good thing is that this shows the order of statues obtained in a level as well. So if you get a statue and notice an empty slot before it, that means there was a statue missed earlier in the level. A similar approach is done with the Balan's Bouts. The statues associated with Balan's Bout are at the end of the list and there is usually a small gap between them and the ones you find throughout the level. So if you find a Balan's Bout and the statue fills a slot with an empty slot before it, you know you missed a Balan's Bout somewhere earlier in the level.

Aside from the acts, you will also have to make sure you defeat each boss (except the final boss) by damaging them in 3 different ways. This is usually done with the provided costumes in the fight. The boss will have one way to damage them with something they do at first, then swap over to something else which has another way to damage them. After being hurt once, they will usually do something not in their normal attack rotation which allows you to damage them in the 3rd way. This trophy will unlock after you have collected all 228 gold Balan statues.
