How to unlock the Tick-tock achievement in BALAN WONDERWORLD - Definitive Guide
Supposedly the last cheev you get for getting progression ticks on the work tracker in the tim island hub getting to a grand total of 24000. THIS FAILED TO UNLOCK FOR ME. While min-maxing after getting every other achievement in the game, I got some useful data on actual tim management.
1. You want as many Tims as possible when I got 24000 points and the cheev FAILED TO UNLOCK I had 220 tim.
2. It doesn't seem to matter precisely which tim is being fed because you never see all of them, just that when you are feeding the tims the drops aren't being wasted and disappearing.
3. When feeding tims, stand in one flower patch, throw down your 100 drops, wait for them all to be eaten and mate any gravid tims created, then immediately move to another patch of flowers to get the tims to report to the tower of torture or the wheel of pain. I found the best rate to keep getting constant ticks on the counter (76 per minute) was doing 3 feedings as quick as possible (in the manner just described) and then waiting 2.5 minutes. In the 3 mins between feedings try to find a flower patch with up to 10 tims near it or entice some tims to beg for food near whichever flower patch you will start the feeding at again. This yielded 99% drop to tim ticker efficiency and a rate of 76 ticks per minute. At 10 mins or so after the last feeding the last of the tims will drop their "happy" status and the ticker progress will slow to a crawl then stop. We want to go faster than that.
Your mileage will vary for example for the last 1000 points the tims weren't even coming to get fed they were hiding in their torture machine. PROTIP also Yellow crystals (from killing mobs) max out at 9999 so spend em down once you max out!
For the math heads
(Assumes you have 200+ timslaves faster if more slower if less obviously)
Formulae
Needed Ticks / 76[Ticks/min] X 100[Drops needed to run] = Drops needed to finish
DNF[Drops need to finish] / 300 * 3.25 = Appx Time To Hit DNF
(2113 / 76) X 100 = 2780 Drops Needed to Finish
(2780 / 300) X 3.25 = 30.11 Mins to Complete
This goes to say basically you're going to need around 1 drop for every 1 tick you need to get so a grand total of 24000. At end game levels, WITH HARD MODE ON YOU GET A LOT MORE 30 DROPS WITH HARD MODE ON, the best level I found was 6-2. Loadout A Punchy Character and Balan. You're going to do laps of the 3 areas in the center of the map that the enemies spawn at: Level Start Plaza, Red Shoe Plaza, Suck Plant Plaza(across the gap from Red Shoe Plaza), and Interior Suck Plant Plaza(up the stairs and inside). To get the 30 drop you need to kill the enemies as close together timewise as you can. Hitting Plants (Suck plant plaza) seems to count as a downed enemy and keep your combo going so use that to your advantage. The rare Ghostli (the rare giant pot monster linked to a cheev) may spawn but he's only worth a maximum of 30 drops despite being rare so there's no need to go out of your way to kill him, he'll only slow your farming down if you chase him. Once you've gotten all 3 groups of enemies dead it's actually faster to go back to the island of tims and return to the level (turn left from spawn on tim island to get to 6-2) than to wait around for the enemies to respawn. This will also give you the benefit of a recent save, because you'll want to force quit the game and exit to dashboard if you do get hit to avoid losing your hardmode status.
As I Said this failed to unlock the first time I completed the tower of tims and clock of tims. PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT if this has also bugged for you! I will update my findings on doing a speed run to level 6-2, maxing out tim headcount, and grinding 24000 gems without even having the Balan costume. According to my research its another 12-15 hours of game because of the broken cheev.

Balan Wonderworld Achievement Failed To Unlock
Tick-Tock Achievement did not unlock.
After the second trial (successful it unlocked!)
I started with a new save,
Unlocked level 6-2
Farmed level 1-1 for eggs and rainbow gems to get the ultima tim (may not have been necessary)
Farmed level 6-2 hard mode enemies over and over to get a total of 20-25k crystals
Used the above described tim feeding and breeding methods (2.5 min wait time) and I think I might have gotten even more efficient results so just stick with this!
I ended my final minute of the game ever with 100(only) tims, the giant tim, and 4600 yellow crystals left over.
At 24980 I manually saved the game. As soon as the cutscene for "finishing the happiness clock 24000" began, I hit the XBOX button, ready to try to force close and save scum to get another shot because I didn't trust it. With the game essentially fully paused the achievement popped immediately as intended this time around.
This may have been patched in the intervening months since I first attempted but at least I have one successful test case. I pray to Ultima Tim that anyone else who treads my path doesn't also get the horrifying non-unlock of this LOooOOOoong achievement.

Tick-Tock Achievement Unlocked
Balan Wonderworld Difficulty Unlocking Final Achievement.
This will likely be the last trophy you unlock on your way to the platinum. It's not hard, but does require a fair amount of time depending on the number of Tims you have. For this trophy you have to complete the Tower o' Tims which requires the counter to reach 24,000. As you spend time in the Isle of Tims, the Tims will work and play to make this counter rise, but after awhile they will stop playing and working. This means you have to feed them drops you have obtained from levels. I recommend not even worrying about this trophy until you have done everything else. You should make sure you are feeding Tims when you go back to the Isle of Tims, and also try to collect/breed as many Tims as you can. This helps down the line as more Tims means the counter goes up quicker. Once you are done with everything else, and ready to grind this out, simply sit idle in the Isle of Tims so that they can continue working, and when you see the counter slowing down or at a stop, go ahead and feed them some drops. If you happen to run out of drops, you can enter a level to obtain more. Remember that you have to beat the boss of a chapter to reset the Acts along with their drops. Once the counter reaches 24,000, you will have completed the Tower o' Tims and unlock this trophy.
